Passing
The Sky sheds tears,
the Seas all roar.
The Earth shudders,
for the one we adore.
Our Lifelong friend,
once full of life,
now in sheets,
just trying to survive.
A pitiful end,
to a cause unfound.
We are like a ship,
now run aground.
We can only watch,
in horror unleashed.
No type of mask,
can hide our grief.

Empty time, empty place. Empty heart, empty space.
Empty time, empty place.
Empty heart, empty space.
Give a little, fight a war
Take a lot, there is more.
Left to die, all alone.
Blackened sins to atone.
In a place by a stream,
in a dark, empty dream.
In a room candles glow.
Truth prevails if you know.
Something sweet and something blue.
Something with a natural hue.

Wounds that scab, but will not heal.
A broken heart once healed,
will never be the same.
Don't take things as they come,
but take it as a game.
To find a hurt once lost,
is to look beneath the skin.
To etch it very deep,
is to throw it to the wind.
Listless as you sleep,
the truth will haunt you still.
It wakes you in your dreams,
For now it always will.

Peace
It is when the stomach is not filled with food,
that the mind can be filled with thought.
It is when the fisherman looks to the sky,
that he gains more than what he's caught.
It is when you ponder on things eternal,
that time reveals the truth.
Peace is when your heart has searched and found,
that faith does not need proof.

Black and White and the Grey in between.
Black as ebony, dark as night.
When right seems wrong and wrong seems right.
Grey and tar and wisps of smoke,
on thoughts we muddle, on tears we choke.
The lines that shape our world will blur and shift,
imaginary bridges where there are rifts.
Disappear and begone, the truth now shows,
yet it brings not joys, but brings us woes.

Tears
Glittering in the moonlight,
like morning dew in the sun.
Like live crystals,
living through the ages.
They've seen many a thing,
much more than you know.
Holding precious memories,
beyond our greatest dreams.
These crystals of which i speak,
know both great pain and joy.
For they live inside every one of us,
just waiting to be released.

The witnessing actor, the acting witness.
A weariness within the bones
drifts somberly on a cloud.
It latches on keeps it grip,
fighting its own kind.
Poisoned hosts see not in,
but above and under eye.
Repel and rip the wounds
of they that shall not pass.
Mutation of this sorry pest
floats and sits asunder,
now only the witnesses that were never there,
can claim to need no cure.

Even darkness can take a breath
When the smell of tears becomes a friend,
of familiarity if not of love;
When the sheets of sadness reek
and muted wishes are carried high up above.
A prayer for the dying and the death of the living,
is muttered inside one's quiet still mind.
For death has come on painted wings, and now walks and wakens
within the souls of living, breathing mankind.

When The Wind Gave Me Her Name
The wind once asked if I knew her name.
She said if I didn't, we'd play a game.
A game of guess, within this game of life.
If I won, never again would I know strife.
I guessed her name till the ends of the earth,
she would smile, and grin, and laugh in mirth.
'There is one name you haven't tried..'
She whispered it in my ear, and made me smile with pride.

Depression
I'm scared that I have fallen,
into that rift yet once again.
The black hole that I had feared,
the one i rotted in as I lain.
Even worse to me is the thought,
that I never did ever climb out.
And all that I have been,
is merely a voiceless shout.
From a depth too far to reach,
in a land too far below.
A place I tried to run from,
Yet is a place I always go.
