If Fire Learnt That It Had A Twin
If fire learnt that it had a twin,
would it weep or would it grin?
Would it rejoice that it had a friend?
Or would it's sibling become a fiend?
Would it burn with flames of hope?
Would it yearn for ways to cope?
Would it wish that life was for two?
If you were fire, what say you?

Land of Change
I am dazzled,
yet I'm dazed.
In this land,
I'm not unfazed.
By terrors of the night,
and the eeriness of dawn.
Just like an empty pasture,
without lambs, without fawns.
It seems so meaningless,
yet is there a hidden truth.
For what I seek, you cannot give.
The only way, is to let and live.

Vampiric
The metalic taste of blood,
drips off my very tongue.
Your flesh so bittersweet,
tastes like honey-coated meat.
Into the mirror's gaze,
I look beyond the glass.
I see no future,
For I have no past.
There is no reflection,
to be heard and seen.
For a creature of the night,
I have always been.

Promise
Those words strike a cord,
a cord so true.
A cord so familiar,
it sounds so much like you.
Did I leave you behind,
I can't really tell.
For in this landscape,
there is no more wishing well.
A good thing or bad,
let time unveil itself,
Hopefully in time, I stand before you,
as a person of wealth.

Happiness
That tiny spark is growing,
a friendship old and new.
Happiness is filling me,
Is this really true?
My world is spinning,
with colours now once more.
The world I once loved,
the world I used to adore.
A gentle smile lifts,
my tired and weary face.
No longer shall I have to run,
for this is my place.

Death of the soul
The tears keep flowing,
the blood won't stem.
my open heart glows,
like a blood red gem.
Those words still hurt,
those thoughts still pain.
you hurt me even though you knew
you had nothing to gain.
Like a glinting black blade,
covered in crimson red blood.
Your mind is corrupted,
like a withering rose bud.

Strength of Agony
The weeping willow cries,
the wailing sirens screech.
The gulls call up above,
the word of death beseeched
Upon those who ponder
on death's eternal gloom.
Like grains of sand falling,
winding time's loom.
The heartache prevails,
the sadness strikes fear.
For desolate though it may be,
not one sheds a tear.

* * *
Carve a canyon in my soul,
this young girl here feels a bit too old;
in thought and manner, in speech and word,
she knows she has been and is but a caged bird.
A cage made with strings of steel,
steel that can bind, but you cannot feel.
She twitters around in her lonely cage,
writes her poems, and another page.

To Die To Self To Love Again
Wilted red where roses bloom,
the smell of death and sweet perfume.
Where hearts are pierced and lovers meet,
Where death has flavour and tastes so sweet.
To die to self to love again,
in winter chills and pouring rain.
Where ice will thaw and you fall through,
Where your heart will learn what it was meant to do.

Lost
Hearing your voice,
my mind blanks,
I hear your soul,
calling, calling,
Our hearts beat as one,
our bodies move alike,
our minds in sync,
we merge unconsiously.
I sway, falling into a daze,
our voices melt to form one.
There is no you,
there is no me,
we are one.
In this song of the heart,
we are only one.
