The Tedium
Perplexing kind of a quandary
with no lucidity in its substance
The nucleus a tad flustered
with inspiration seeming askance
On face all may look cheery
but aft is a deceptive pretense
The heart wants far to wander,
to head it makes no sense
Pondered at many a juncture
if it were some sort of a curse
This award of copious sensitivity
which I am not able to inverse

make believe appearing secure

The Rue
Distressing it is to comprehend
the peculiarity of such an ordeal
The end where is susceptible of,
a having been had kind of a deal
The bygone stands a witness,
of me used as a means to an end
In times of desolate necessity
for my own I was left to fend
So much for the kinship,
and purported kind of a bond
During affluence it surfaces,
in times rough it doesn't respond
The hurts do get treated
but the emotional pain does not abate

Magical Monsoons
Streets are akin to rivulets
for children with paper boats
Paddy farmers in a bit of frenzy
in their improvised raincoats
Drop of the mercury rouses
the indolent stimulus to come to the fore
To paint a picture perfect afresh
and with new hues & tints explore
The flora in wild proportions
propagating as far one can gaze
A panoramic vista so utterly unique
that never ceases to amaze
Twilight a tad gloomy
needs uplifting of depressing mood

The Enigmatic Eddy
Undoing intricate complexities
one feels disoriented and lost
Panaceas past proffered,
now one's sensibilities does accost
A savior amongst sundry,
but himself who needs redeemed
The one indulging in self adversity,
joys for all forever deemed
Subsistence got compartmentalized
With solitude got conferred
Contrary proved the awards,

Insatiable the quest to chronicle,
what life so far has brought
Time plays role pivotal,
when intricacies are being taught
While feeling perceptively worn out
and on the intellectual end
The new facets get revealed

No medium or any mystic can proffer
a cure for the elusive bliss

The Ponderings
None did try and reach out
in an attempt to find or seek
The emotional upheavals,
when sensitivities were trying to wreak
Aided and abetted in building
domains most others aspired
Couldn't save own foundations
which were providentially mired

The Contrition
Desecrating old foundations
the fragile façade that one creates
Proves acrimonious to reality
and from commune it alienates
Logic gets thrown to elements
in the displayed sense of arrogant air
The inadvertent damage that is inflicted,
is beyond any emotional repair
With rage seething deep inside,
to rationality one turns blind
No point in being penitent
after bridges have been burnt behind

San Joao - The Monsoon Jamboree
With an age old aim at revelry
is this fiesta during the rains
With fun frolic and gaiety
the social awareness it campaigns
By the creek adjoining the church square
it's akin to a carnival fest
When flotilla of colorful country boats
sail past in their regal best
Music blaring out at the loudest
with ethnic flavors from the past

Trials mine, tribulations personal

All that self denial
with phases seeming glum

Apathy and disregard that
