Death of the Most Hated Terrorist
It is universally known that crime does not pay.
In hindsight, it is only fitting that the elusive architect
Of 911 was not hiding in the labyrinth of a century-old cave,
Instead, the al-Qaeda mastermind was living in a hi-tech
Mansion, with all sorts of technological amenities,
At his disposal. He knew how to assemble the enemies
Of Peace, Freedom, Liberty and Happiness.
This modern day Führer has killed thousand of innocent lives,
And has cost trillions of dollars to the world in time and security,
That fortune could better be used to treat or cure cancer,
And other diseases that kill and cripple our people every hour
Of the day. Today is a joyful occasion for humanity.
Few are sad when criminals, bandits, which carry sharp knives
And illicit weapons, find themselves out of breath,
Where they have no place to hide, but only to face death,
The ultimate justice for pariahs, who cause infinite harm,
And suffering to our peaceful communities.
This is a momentous and indeed historic time for families,
Who have wept and shed so many tears. Today, our hearts are warm,
Elated and are looking forward for better days.

To My Brother Who Looks Different Than Me
The first time, we met; you treated me,
Like a sibling, like a brother.
It was friendship; it was love at first sight;
In a very short time, you became my faithful mentor,
The good shepherd despite your prestigious might.
You do not discriminate against anybody;
You are the man that I yearn to emulate:
The consummate professional, the prelate,
Who fights the right battle, and who, eventually,
Won justice for your sanity and for others.
When we worked together, you were not perfect,
However, I could rely in you and trusted your ways;
You had a way of dealing with the imperfect
World, you had a way to warn me of the dangers.
A man can love another man for his good character,
For good morale, and unblemished behaviors.

You Are Wanted…
They raped your mother
They shot your father
At point blank
They blinded your sister with a pink
Handkerchief, slapped your brother
Kicked the baby’s crib
Sprayed deadly mace
Spat on her face
And broke the left rib
Of the poor maid
All of those victims are innocent
Who committed no crime; they are too decent
To be victimized by this raid

Mental Incarceration
Being psychologically in jail
Is worse than being in hell
You have no appetite, you cannot fall asleep
You are surrounded by zombies; that's deep
You cannot run, you cannot flee your demons
You cannot physically escape the pokémons
You are drowning in your own blood
It is not raining, yet there is a flood
You are a persona non grata
The whole country is mad at your saga
You are in trouble, you have nowhere to go
You are done; you have hit your low
You cannot hide; you are deceived by your eyes
You cannot walk away from your conscience
You are trapped and you have no confidence
In yourself, and if you venture outside, the flies
Will follow you and the children will throw pies

A Tribute Fits for a Great King
Bring the drums, the flute and the trombone.
Bring the clarinet, the guitars and the saxophone,
So we can honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Junior,
Who was the King of the Civil Rights Movement. No one can ignore
His sacrifices for mankind and his dedications
To world’s peace and justice. His contributions
To our world are enormous. Dr. King is still a beacon of hope,
A man who did not believe in giving up. He was the Pope
Who espoused humanity, decency and love for all.
He was not a tall man, however, he dreamt BIG not small.
Dr. King was a giant in every meaning of the word.
He was not a violent man, but his tongue was a powerful sword,
Who pierced the rhinoceros skin of racism and injustice.
Today, I feel blessed to write about this man of peace and justice,
This gentleman of tolerance and love, and this brother,
Who never ceased to inspire me, especially in my darkest hours.
Bring the children, the elders and the crippled to honor
The King of hope and perseverance. Bring the flowers of all colors,
To celebrate his insurmountable tasks and great accomplishments.
Come to shower such an icon with endearing compliments.

Guilty by association
Guilty due to unusual circumstances
Guilty by act of contrition
Keep on taking chances
Some lives are not important
Justice is purchased like hot bagels
If you are poor, you can easily find yourselves under the barrels
Some lives are not important
The bulldozer has plenty of time to differentiate
To choose, to pick and to discriminate
Be at the wrong place at an odd time
Is enough to find a pauper guilty of a first degree crime
It is criminal to be on death row
It is illegal and unconscionable to be so low
When the subject is forced to admit guilt
Where Judge and Prosecutors, members of the cult
Plot to convict an innocent bystander

Joy To Egypt, Joy To The World
The honorable People are excited and jubilant.
Finally, the grumpy octogenarian tyrant
Has stepped down.
Long live Egypt! Down, down
Down with the thirty year old dictatorship!
The country is hopefully embarked on the ship
Of Democracy, Justice, and Fairness.
God’s willing, this is the end of the ugliness
Of corruption, nepotism and arbitrary arrest.
With all my heart, I wish the best,
Not only to Egypt, but also to the entire region.
Facebook, Twitter, Blackberry and the Internet played
A phenomenal role in this revolution.
The people were resilient, they could not be swayed
To change their focus, which was to dethrone the dictator.
For eighteen hard and grueling days, they were willing
To either live free or die standing.

Is the only way to obtain liberty and freedom

The Haitian Flag Is Indeed Resilient / Le Drapeau Haïtien Est En Effet Indestructible
On 1/12/10, our brave Flag did not stop floating and glowing,
Amidst the relentless attacks against our Country,
While the elected officials went into hiding
Deep inside the beer kegs of the shameless garden.
Generals, soldiers, cops, politicians – they were all absent.
A country needs an army, and competent men and women
To protect its citizens against natural, supernatural
And criminal elements. Haiti needs great leaders, which will remain loyal.
Our beloved Haiti is hungry, our Homeland is thirsty.
We want an end to kidnappings and corruption.
We want the bloodsuckers to say arrivederci,
Before they snatch the biggest portion.
Our People must radically improve themselves
To adhere to better sanitary conditions,
Away from the infernal might of the selfish elves.
Let’s help each other without hypocrisy and hesitation,
