Grumpy Lumpy cut his wrist
Grumpy Lumpy’s veins were missed
All of the doctors and all the doctor’s men
Sewed Grumpy Lumpy together again

Racism

To attack one for their nationality,
For their skin colour, their beliefs, their mentality,
Is but the cruelness of petty people,
Who are building an ignorant steeple.
Black, white, yellow or blue,
Their blood runs red, just like you.
So think before you make a fuss,
What's the difference between them and us?

Choose Life

I cry and I don't know why,
I vent and stress,
I struggle in a mess,
I scream and feel frustrated,
I lie and feel hated,
I cry and I don't know why.

I cry and I don't know why,
I sigh and smile,
I am tranquil for a while,
I sing and feel liberated,
I know my life is surely fated,
I smile... and I know why.

The Naiad

The sea swallows the maiden whole
With a wistful smile on her face
Both corybantic and tranquil
She is stuck in a dark place
Her heart is frozen cold
But burns with a searing fire
Her eyes stare into empty air
And dream of dark desire
The ocean refuses to drown her
Her state is too raw
Instead it gently holds her close
And in the sea she willingly does fall

Hope

Rain splashes around,
Heaven cries its tears.
Thunder crashes in the ears,
Screams its frustration.
Lightning blinds the eyes,
Unable to see truth.
Wet, noisy, blinding storm!
Heartbreaking, defeating, dark storm!
The storm will quiet, the storm will sweeten,
Even this shall pass away.
And now all is said and done,
Sweet fruit and crop have finally sprung.

She stalks the night like a predator
She sizes you up like a predator
She is avoided like a predator
She is feared like a predator
She is a lone creature like a predator
She seems heartless like a predator

She enjoys the day as people do
She likes a challenge as people do
She will avoid as people do
She fears as people do
She wants company as people do
She craves love as people do

The Sociopath (2)

Yes, but no; the answer’s no.
Right but wrong, always wrong
Empathetically empty, emotions faked,
Faked very badly, not understood at all.
Laughter during pain, tears during anger
Smiles during misery and joy alike.
Constant confusion of the human state of mind
Reads fantasy books to try and grasp emotional reactions
Smile, yes; that’s how I should react,
Elude the emotions I constantly re-enact.

Wish

If you could wish for just one wish, what would you wish?
Would you wish for a fish or a dish or just to be stylish?
Would you wish to vanquish anguish, or to banish blowfish?
Some would wish to be Irish, some would wish for a kiss.
Some would wish to stop those foolish, only that they’d cherish
But if you could wish for just one wish, what would you wish?
You’d wish for the wish. Surely that you couldn’t miss.

Courting Death

Slice me, knife, drain my blood.
Please harm me, it feels good.
Cut my arms, my veins, too.
And I will hunt for blood with you,
We’re courting death in the night.
Faint from blood loss at morning light.
In daytime I’ll escape your arms,
You’ll rest until I’m nice and warm.
Then we’ll go cold, just you and me,
We’ll die together, wait and see.
Never again lonely or even blue,
Because life will be over for me and you.

Full Impact of Horror in War (Acrostic)

Functioning is difficult when in shock
Untimely end has come for all
Lack of food
Lack of hope

I see no bravery only fear, only pain
Men kill, men die
People struggle to survive
Aid is needed everywhere
Courage is needed in the hopeless
Time passes slowly, too slow

Outside is unsafe
Families are blown apart

Honour is all we have left
Obvious pain shows on all faces
Rich and poor people suffer the same
Running away has become normal
Our lives are destroyed
