Oh, fear is gloom
Don’t let it bloom;
It gives more room
For malign doom.
Defeat is laid
When fear is made;
When in its shade
No victories aid.
Courage is light
Make it more bright;
It wins the fight
With utter might.
Courage can make
What fear will take;
Make it awake
For victory’s sake.

Joy and sorrow always walk hand in hand!
Upon all human hearts they come and stand!
Oh, behind all considered-happy souls
Look, a dropp of sorrow verily rolls!
When taller and taller woe piles up in some
Gets hidden behind, oh, the gladness in them!
Yet hardly do they come with us to live without inviting
For man himself it is who keeps him, oh, laughing and grieving!

Chaotic Crossroads
History is in the making
But the larger question is
Should one History be erected
Upon the tombstone of another?
Should a limb of Democracy
Be amputated severely
To graft a piece of skin
On another one so hastily?
History is in the making
But at the crossroads, now utter chaos!
The road blockage is lengthening
The streets are now pitifully full of
Woes and loss and egos!

Hero Worshiping
A Hero he is no doubt –
His Heroism now showcased
The public now find it safe
To don his cap
And express their solidarity
To don his cap
And do their timely duty!
With us it has always been so
The cause gets soon sugar coated and showcased
The ideals get bartered for the idols
We worship more not duties but deities
Thus pitiably
Not much good History
But a lot of History-Makers get made!

Some live in plush mansions
Some live in slums and on the streets
Those in slums and on the streets
When fight with each other
For survival
Others happen to see
And call that
Dirty, wretched and uncultured life.
When those inside plush mansions
Fight with each other
To feed their greed
Nobody happens to see
And calls that
Refined, decent and cultured life.
In the end
Those who fight for survival
Shed tears of comforting grief
Those who fight to feed their greed
Shed tears of devastating repentance.
