What Real Force...?
What real force
Drives me forth
From morning to night
Enduring this daily plight?
Surely it comes from God
It is divine, shining inside
Also sending out its discrete rays
In fantastic many ways...
It warms in stillness the heart
It enlightens the mind with art
It touches the soul in purity
Reaching blessed eyes infinitely!

Divine Flight
Oh! The blue butterfly enjoys soaring high
Her fragile wings have become strong
And she even yearns for touching the sky!
Her flight looks steady and bright
Supported by a sweet yellow daffodil
Beholding her in his pure heart.
The blue butterfly will be flying around
Even reaching a new distant venue
Under God's blessings, serene and proud.

The Return
It was late at night
When he arrived at the door.
A true divine sign
We don't doubt anymore.
Far from his cosy place
Through nights of cold and rain
His return was a God's grace
Which makes us thankful again.
We felt an immense joy
Providing him water and food.
At first, his glance was so coy...
Then our kitten recovered his mood.

Autumn Leaves
From green to yellow
Singing tunes so mellow
They're falling down the ground
Spreading music around.
They' ve relished the Summer days
Hosting hot sun rays
Witnessing melodies at night
Dwelling in everyone's heart.
They' ll be scattered around
By the Autumn winds blown
But their trees stand still
Until the next year's blossoming will.

Lines of Shadow
Boughs of the Tree bow
Before birds' new melodies
Really different glow
Inspiring lines like these...
'Tis not the Tree singing today
Rather its shadow spreading
Sheltering birds everyday
Attentive to their living.
Its genuine Song of purity
And joy dwells deeply inside
To be chanted in the eternity
And treasured by the heart and mind.

Celebration
Tonight all around is quiet
It is a starry night
The moon is smiling
So close a star is shining!
The moon with its open smile
Seems to recall a sweet while
And contemplates that bright star
Which dreams of travelling afar...
The moonlight and the starlight
Flood the earth with such an art
That God over them rejoices
Blessing for good their voices!

On the Lap of Their Mother
On the lap of their mother
Their body is like a feather
Feels the drought, cruel weather!
Their eyes shed no tears
Mothers are weary of many fears
So much distress across years!
Shocking images of devastation
Farther go beyond their nation
They need more than donation.
Times are tough everywhere
But it's urgent to act fair
So as to stop that nightmare!

An Act of Reflection
It has caused much anxiety
Preventing us from working online
Blocking our interests without piety.
We've checked out everything around
Then stopped for a while
Unable to produce a smile
Keeping our feet stuck to the ground.
We've used our mind,
Which has helped with reflection,
And quickly returned
To this enjoyable task of another kind.

Please
Dear Mozambican leaders,
Could you tell us the reasons
Why so many people keep being
Hungry there? It is not fair!
There is so much suffering
They cannot bear.
Listen to their daily worries
Approach them with love
Grant them what they need
There are so many mouths to feed.
Then think of a better nation
Providing facilities within education.

Supreme Lord of the Universe
For such knowledge diverse
We daily learn from YOU.
It's a never-ending pleasure
Guiding our path throughout life
It keeps us away from strife
We rejoice over that treasure.

On thoughts humble and loft
Insightful views are brought
We feel delighted and meditate.
