October Suprise

He walked up to me
An October suprise
Made me see things
Through his wide eyes

Yea, heavy on the heart
He'd drain it dry
He spoke with a voice
That lifted the sky

He trembled the trees
I was damned by his eyes
Cause he smiled a smile
That parted the skies

October, you're bittersweet
Your flying leafs and happy trees

Splitter Splatter

Splitter splatter, splitter splatter
The rain tumbles, the rain scatters
Such a day for rubber boots
Such a day for a poncho suit
What a moment to kiss my fella
Under this polka dot umbrella
The muddy puddles, we straddle
Should have brought a wooden paddle
The rain's no more a pitter patter
The rain is now a splitter splatter

In the Silent Night

So brightly upon the water
Does that full moon glow
After a day that couldn't get hotter
It's a lovely night, I suppose
The water around me is so still
In which I seem to become a part of it
Oh, the lonliness I feel
On this quiet night
I do admit
I float on my back to watch the sky
I smile because you're under here, too
Still, it's a hot night in July
And another night remembering you
The water soothes my hot skin
God, draw me towards the heavens with might!
I'm covered in water up to my chin
Crying in the silent night

Come Down to the River

I’m standing at the river now
About to walk across
Watching my Lord from the other side
With his body covered in snowy gloss
He sets down his little lamb
And sets his eyes on me
I step into the river
That empties into the Dead Sea
Oh, Christ is so lovely
So noble, so mild
And so much gratefulness
Inside of me runs wild
Here at Jordan, I am baptized
And join in God’s greatest stock
All while my worthy Sheppard
Sits and watches his flock
Fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers
Come down to the river today!
Christ is raising his wooden staff
Come down to the river to pray!

The Strength Within

The dark clouds are filling the skies.
The rain will soon settle in.
My sorrow then begins to rise.
Find strength within, find strength within.
All of the mountains are steeper ahead,
And I've struggled thust far I've been.
I calmly lower my head.
Find strength within, find strength within.
The world around me is dying.
Surrender is conquering a thousand men.
The life within me is crying.

I use to wonder when I'd walk my last mile,
Until I found Jesus, my friend.
Now there's a reason to smile!

Years ago, with deep inquiry
I propped up my feet to read your diary
With each page I craved it more and more
To touch the earth and be outdoors
Oh young girl, with dark eyes and hair
Who wrote down her wish and her prayer
Who made the best of a cruel period
Whose friends were dying in the myriad
You should have been playing hop scotch on the walk
Drawing squares with a piece of chalk
Anne, you didn’t deserve the torture
To be on an earth burning in hell’s scorcher
A broken heart you tried to mend
Evil murdered you, my friend
God bless you all in Hitler’s dictum
God bless every Holocaust victim
Anne abandoned the camp to heaven’s sea
And passed her broken heart on to me

Cotton Candy Clouds

On this celestial hill I wait
With hopes that are no less than great
I look to the cotton candy clouds
Which wrap the sun in a misty shroud

They look so soft and battered thick
If my tongue were long, I'd give them a lick
You'd think my day's goal was a waste
To crave the most impossible taste

God himself prepared this cuisine
With his giant cotton candy machine
Mixed with rainbows and mountain mist
Topped with honey and an angels kiss

I tilt my head back and spread my lips
Stretch my tongue to its very tip
And I taste something so very nutritious
I'm drinking raindrops, so delicious!

I Give My Heart

I dont know how long I'll be gone,
But I promise you one day I'll be home.
No matter what I'll always be there,
I give my heart for I care.
When you are going down lifes road,
I give my heart to take off a load.
When you wonder who you are,
I give my heart for I wont be far.
When a teardropp falls down your chin,
I give my heart so dont cry again.
As the sunsets across your face,
I give my heart full of grace.
Close your eyes for the day is done,
I give my heart for it shines like the sun.
When you smell flowers outside,
I give my heart so please dont hide.
When you look at the sky above,
I give my heart full of love.
Now we are not to far away,
For in my heart you will always stay.
