Fly High
I was wild and free,
Free to soar in the sky!
The sky was my home,
I was the emperor of the skies.
No one escaped my sight!
I ate at my will to all my fill,
With no rival to fight.
But now I am a prisoner;
In a prison where not even my wings fit in.
A meal a day;
Something that tastes like hay.
All I have is but memories of my glorious past;
And never to be free again!

Splendor Of Nature
It was a dreamy night,
With no power for artificial light.
Shadows played hide and seek in the moon light.
A gentle breeze against my face;
A slight drizzle enticing you to enjoy it!
Time seemed to be slow in pace,
A tempting offer too fine to refuse;
I just gave into it.
Such a beautiful ballet by nature,
Simple yet mesmerizing,
Age old yet addicting.
What a wonderful night!

Snow White
In a sea of darkness,
Amidst an ocean of silence,
Rustling trees in the wind,
Creates a nostalgic scenery.
A subtle mellow drama,
A ghastly feeling,
A strange chill down your spine;
A scene that creates a mixed feeling!
The drama unfolds,
With the appearance of the protagonist!
She appears with the cloud,
As a veil, like a bride!
She is dressed in pure white;
An ageless and timeless beauty!

What Is Sweet In Love?
What is sweet in love
If not kept secret?
Meet me away from the crowd.
Just tell me
Where and when!
For how much more
Is our love precious,
Than a trinket of diamond and gold!
Since the beginning of time,
A love in secret is always
Sweeter than wine.
Let our love be known
To the only One Divine.
And in his presence
Let our hearts entwine.
Let not the world know
I am your only love!
For our love is not
A Shakespeare's play.
But a sanctuary for us alone to enjoy.

Captain Bravado
The sun shines,
O'er the trees and vines.
The wind wind embraces
The leaves with a gentle clasp.
The broken reeds like a harp,
Play their tune amidst the gloomy haze.
At a distance braving the storm in the sea,
Against the crashing tides with a glee.
A Captain set to cheat fate,
With a crew of bravado and valour.
Towards the distant beacon of a harbour.
Against the tide, through Hell's Gate,
Sailing to reach ashore!
Waiting for another storm,
To brave once more.

Rain! Rain! Come Today!
Showers of blessing!
I thought seeing the rain.
Some feel depressed,
Some feel sad,
But for me it seems to wash my sadness!
A cycle ride in the rain;
Brings such joy to the soul;
Drenched in the chill of the rain,
Makes me forget all my pain.
When the sun appears
With the rain as its veil,
Spreading a ray of happiness,
With a rainbow as a smile!
It creates an irresistable awe!
A scene that can make any one happy.
Oh, How I wish it rains often!
Just to feel happy for no reason.

Fireflies
On a moonless night,
With icy winds chilling my spine.
I sat down on the footsteps of my cottage;
Wondering what an empty night that was.
No sound of vehicles or people;
What a perfect silence!
I was wondering.
Just as i stood to leave,
In the mist i saw small flashes.
Dazed and bewildered in its beauty I stood;
A beauty out of the world!
First i saw only the flashes,
But then i realized.
They were dancing to a beat of their own!
A flawless silent choreography.

Dance Of The Soul
Shades of Grey, Black and White,
Paint the star studded moonlit night.
Rustlling leaves and waving trees;
Raging winds and subtle sounds.
A song that stirs the mum soul.
A song that breaks the chains of silence!
The soul dances with joy profound,
Throngs helter-skelter,
In the vast emptiness of the night.
In a dimension of its own, still unseen!
A place, the words of this World
Can never comprehend!
A passage to the divine realm itself,
Let the soul proffer
It's dance ceasing never!
Till it becomes,
An entity of Heaven itself!

Give me the honor
Of holding your hands my Queen!
Let not your feet touch the ground,
For I shall carry you on my back.
Shed not a tear from your precious eyes!
For every dropp of tear
You shed are bullets straight to my heart!
Be forever my beloved Queen.
Trust your fragile heart to none but me.
For its fortress I will be!
Let Your love be mine forever!
Resting peacefully in my heart's safe.

This Is War
The sun rises over the wretched trench.
Barbed wires line the way.
Shattered bodies and rounds of shells,
Fill the air with a ghastly stench.
The Reaper lay await for this harvest day,
Distant churches rung their death knell.
The sound of shots ringing,
Shatters the sleep of the dormant vale.
The rain of fire seems never to end,
The earth lies barren with no life clinging!
All the peace and serene locked in a gaol.
A remenant scar not lost in time's bend.
The pain, anguish and agony,
Never leaves the hearts of many.
Some mourn for the lost near and dear,
Some mourn for the peace,
We seldom cherish and cheer.
