Life is a Funny Thing

Life is a funny thing,
Full of envy, hate, and despair.
Little did I know a single face,
Could change the path of one's soul.
Little did I know a friendly smile could lace me to one's hold.

Life is a funny thing,
Little did I know the shot of a gun,
Could kill the one I loved.
Little did I know that, that same gun,
I'm using to shoot myself now.
