The Master Mind

The master mind, devil of evil.
Initiator of deception, creator of sorrow.
Most cunning, most assuring,
fallen emperor, proud prince.
Master mind, he masters the mind

At the entrance of the grave,
he envies the throne of grace.
author of death, father of hell
rewards flaming passions with flames of fire
and he masters the proud, master mind

He serves to master
and masters the world
beauty, wealth, power, and pride...
his own assets.
The master mind serves the world.

His empire is deception,
his agent is 'reason'

Today's Merchandise

Slumbering to the dawning darkness,
Tonight’s night mare, anchoring in predators
Who will feast on our poor souls
Because they traded their own
in today’s merchandise.

I will not slumber, to dream again.
In my bed, I will stay awake.
I will not trade, to have it all
In my solitude, I will reside
To be saved from today’s merchandise

Dropping values, picking passions
The kind of trade;
Cheap sex, traded morals
The day’s merchandise;
But I will not trade in today’s merchandise.

Men shed tears and reap fears
in today’s merchandise.

The Nightmare

The job
Waking up when you’re fired
Leaving office when you’re tired
Reaching home when you’re wired
The shadows of the day mired

The horror
That concludes a day’s strains
And the anxiety
That follows the soul’s trail
In the darkness full of pain

The game
Caught up in the middle
With nowhere to go but the centre
With nothing to do but playing on
For a reward that is peanuts

The highway
Taking the paths of worries

Breaking Into The Night

In the darkness of the mid 80’s,
A stranger breaks into the night.
When immorality was singing hymns of lust
And sexual perversions was performing nude dances
The stranger broke into the night.

When families were united,
And parents were hopeful,
That the future was pregnant with optimism
And it would give birth to light,
The stranger broke into the night!

To sing and dance
For the high school teenager
To capture and enslave
The innocent young blood
When the stranger broke into the night

Ancestors dance, descendants mourn
The lineage of punishment

Two Worlds Apart

Two worlds apart, Heaven and Hell.
Fire and Water, Depth and heights.
Hills and Valleys, Earth and Ocean.
Winds and storms,
They are two worlds apart!

Two worlds apart,
The poor and the rich,
Glory mocks shame,
Peace challenges war,
Health gapes at sickness
Death in a tag of war with life,
Joy on banquets, sorrow on funeral rites,
Evil tempts, righteousness calls

There are people who live at the other end
They cry and mourn,
They see no joy; the world is darkness to them
They stretch their limbs in hunger
And lift their hands to the sky

An Angel In The Pearl

My president is an ‘angel’
Without wings but he flies anyway
In jets from might to might
With no heaven but he dwells anyway

There’s an angel in the pearl
Who always flies and never cries,
Who always lives and never dies,
Outliving the seed of greatness.

He cruises through the country
In an entourage of uneducated elites
In the comfort of limousines
‘The ones which keep away dust.’

Then, it feels like heaven
Not anywhere else but in Uganda
Where it’s ‘FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY’
The power of rhetoric

Resignation

It is because we can't build love
that mansions stand forever
but hearts get broken ever
and now weddings must be punctuated with rings
and the spirit of family flies like a bird with wings

It is because we have failed to understand the dynamics
that the wind of change blows us to war's gymnastics
and we've failed to get hold of life's not-so-sweet realities
thus the beasts of fear have dragged us into sin's territories
so, we've forsaken the God who hears for the devil who appears

We run from sleep's night mares
and hide from life's little scares
instead of climbing steep stare
and trying out the last but only bet we've got
and that is the resignation we've forged!

The Guest Is 'Trouble

There is a guest and a host
child and servant,
eternity and vanity,
The guest is trouble.

In sickness, health is the host
he gives way to sickness
that the power of truth is depicted
the guest is 'trouble'

In pain, comfort is the host
who concedes the pain
that the vanity of darkness is depicted
the guest is 'trouble'

In death, life is the host
who gives way to death
that the power of resurrection is shown
the guest is 'trouble'

Freedom In The Centre

I know I'll enter
aiming for the center
goodness is my mentor
in warmth and bad weather
evil is like vapor
emitted from the hearts of leapers
where it dwells deeper

I know I'll knock and enter
where life is a favor
to the lost and whiners
the children of nature
who've been blown by fate
into the grave of despair
where humanity is enclosed

i know some day I'll enter
into life's epicenter
where fate and luck meet
and they shake hands

Naked

'my family, my friends, my children, my wife...'
Have you ever tried to strip naked
i mean from body to soul

'my job, my country, my school...'
Have you ever tried to go naked
for the winds to blow and the sun to scotch

'my God, my religion, my pastor/preacher...'
you've got to try being naked
to lay out your thoughts and meet the truth

The world and all it's dwellings could belong
but try going naked for a day
and visit the realms of greatness

This is not madness but sadness
with which i beseech you to strip naked
and find the truth we've all missed
