The Game

Heart pounding sweats
lucky harm in your clamped fist
Heavy breathing
Nervous moment
Are you ready?
Feeling the energy of the crowd
The ball, the players, your coach
Play with your head
follow with your heart
Get Ready
Get Set 1,2,3
Go!

Mother, Mother

Mommy, majka, mor, mutter, mama, morsa, madre, ma
Every language holds the same meaning for
the one that gave birth to you
It holds the same power too
The power of a mother
The one that held you inside
The one that kissed you good night
The one that colored the sun and trees in your pre-school homework
The one that is always keeping you on track
The one that protects you as if you're her world
The one that tells you that you're the reason for her existence
The one that loves you

Father, Father

You are strong
Your are wise
You open up the curiosity of mine
You told me stories
Of mystical forests, pink frosted snow, diamond halo's
And how a family glow's..
My love for you extends even further than
The great Atlantic Ocean or
Even any ocean in the planet
Wherever I am
You represent the sun that gives me light
The grass that lets me breathe
The breeze that cools my face
And the pen that writes for my education
O Father, father
Always be the world
That protects me even after you die

The Day She Was Born

I remember so vividly the day you were born
That day seemed like it would never end
I prayed you would come to the world safe
and I prayed my mother would come with you
I prayed and I prayed
The first time I held you in my arms
I felt the power of a sister bond
your face glowed with a divine light
the prints on your palms were delicately printed
there were soft stroked of curly black hair decorating your tiny head
When you opened your dark brown eyes
I then realized who I was holding in my arms
My sister, own sister
my little sister
On that day I vowed
to protect you with all my life
to provide you with life
and to be with you all throughout my life..
