The Truth: In the Garden
Bloodied n' bruised
Yes, I relate with you
Close to you death
Nothing much left
Searching for truth
Yes, I relate with you
Alone in the group
Friends old but so new
Family ponder at all
Your soul cries the call
Yearning for the truth
Yes, I relate with you
Mocked by friends
Abandoned and left
Crying ache of tears
Going past petty fears
Search for your Father
Path so far altered
Yearn, Yearn for truth
Yes, ...I relate with you.

The Facade
We civilly meet those who we greet on sidewalks and streets
With appropriate airs and appropriate hairs we buy our wares
In the days work we’re sure to never shirk our little perks
At the days close we turn on stoves and TV’s in droves
Some get in laughs and some their slaps and some their black jack
But in nice society with common nicety it’s shut up please
And we never talk about those who got lost or got caught
So it’s on with the show and off to work we go and let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

What Today Brings
In the dawning of the day
With my coffee in hand and
My son at play
I glance at the neatly laid trees
Still after mornings breeze
What will my day be like
After rains jar my senses and
The lightning strikes
Calm laying down the puddles
And child climbing up to cuddle
Dishes washed brings hope
Same with an early stable routine
For me to cope
Steps begin with our usual waking
Java lightens chaos in the making
Still stands my question
What will the day have in store

What is happening to me
I am floating in a sea of apprehension
With worry and doubt as stars above
No call is to lost to be echoed around
Thoughts are silent as the gravity tugs
I am skipping on stones of confusion
Avoiding the rapidly grabbing chaos
Just staying out of the mess of life
Making survival the ultimate pay off
I am silent to the world of chattering
In a forest of meaning, silence drowns
No interpretation can bring life near
Alone encircled by life I will be found
I am walking a familiarly strange path
With steps no longer firm as they take
Unsure of nearing objects and needs
Compelled to go on, even as I break

This One
This one kiss was meant to harm you
To burn inside till all the days end
To be a light aroused and haunting
Searching your depths at passions edge
This one touch was meant to scar you
Giving no rest to your desperate eyes
Reminding your heart of yearnings ember
Keeping thoughts of my embrace alive
This one look was meant to rape you
Taking from your heart and giving to mine
Taking all hope and desires for freedom
Making you lost, an addict who pines
This one breath was meant to stop you
Holding you submissive to being tied
Never desiring release out of bondage
Making you a captive, willing and blind

The Silence of Night
The silence I am with
Comforts
Stills
Surrounds
The silence is not real
Full
Constant
Chaotic
The silence is for me
Friendly
Hopeful
Peace
The silence becomes
All
Nothing
Ambiguity
No child to remind me I'm not alone
Little patter of feet to keep me up
Cries for 'mom' are far from this home
