Look Into Your Crystal Ball -“WHAT DO YOU SEE”!
You’re headed towards your destiny.
Whether it is good or bad
I do not know?

Beach Called Life
Worn out by the constant pounding
Of life’s perpetual waves.
Yes I watch both the tourist and the natives
As they gaze at the beach.
And see bits of human remains
Amongst this beach we called life.

Lord be My Strength
Lord give me the strength to do your will
To be filled with the spirit and always be still
Lord grant me the strength to suffer your cause
Allow me to submit because you are my boss
Lord purify my soul so it is clean inside
Teach me your ways and make my pain subside

Emotional Pain
Pain unfortunately tends to be everlasting
Haunting many for years
Some people don’t ever realize that they
Suffer from chronic emotional pain
The only real way to free one’s self from pain
Is to face it straight on
In other words to deal with the pain
Those people that burry their pain
Only prolong the reality that it must
Be dealt with

Weather is Changing
The weather is changing
It’s getting cold
My soul is freezing
Without you to hold
Since you went away
I suffer without end
No more lover
An irreplaceable friend
The north wind blows strong
Against my brittle bones
My emotions run wild
Like the ocean pounding on stones
Yes the weather is changing
It’s getting cold
My soul is freezing
Without you to hold

Questionable Star
Twinkle, twinkle little star
Do you wonder where you are
So far away is your shining light
Not seen during the day but so bright at night
Twinkle, twinkle little star
A wonder and amusement for us everyday
A beam of hope to the God that we pray
Twinkle, twinkle little star
Do you have love where you are
Is your love so intense and bright
As your everlasting light
Twinkle, twinkle little star
I think you’re beautiful where you are
A symbol of life and what might be
I love to feel you cosmic energy

Time Is An Ocean
As Dylan wrote
“Time is an ocean that must reach the shore”
Even the greatest love must come to its end
Whether that is the death of a spouse on your 50th wedding Anniversary
Or waking one morning to a note on your pillow stating
“I don’t love you anymore”
Yes we have always had all the time that we have ever needed
To love
To laugh
To find comfort
But some wait too long or never realize this fact
Until the roughing waves
Carry them onto the shoreline
May I never reach death
And realize that I have never loved

Summer Break
I long to be with you
But summer has built a barrier between us.
I use to wait for summer to come and free me
But now I search of a hammer to break down its walls.
Summer’s walls, however, have not the ability to stand for long
If I can endure the struggle to tear them down
My strength shall come from the memories
We’ve shared and my thoughts of what God has in store for us.
My sweat from summer’s heat shall symbolize my love for you
As it pours off my brow
And the blisters that wear on my hands
Will remind me of my fear of not seeing you again.
So that I might work even harder to overcome Summer’s
Obstacle and hold you in my aching arms.

Try Harder
What is normal in marriage
No one prepares a couple for this great endeavor
This first year has had its ups and downs
Lots of arguing
Loss of attraction
And even some disconnecting emotionally
It would be easy to see why so many people
End up in divorce
Marriage has not been that movie romance
I use to dream about
Oh, it has many good points
Like coming home to someone that cares
But that often quickly gets lost in
The shuffle of life
Example - “Honey, I’m home
Wife – “did you bring in the trash and get the mail”
See how that warm greeting could set the tone
The tone for the rest of the evening
My hope is that marriage (with a lot of work)
Will evolve into a story book romance
