Remember The Day.

[remember the day]
when fighting meant your little brother not sharing his cookie?
[remember the day]
when loving someone was as simple as a good hello?
[remember the day]
when war meant playing with squirt guns in the back yard?
[remember the day]
when a tree house could be an escape from reality?
[remember the day]
When pain meant a simple paper cut?
[remember the day]
Because now that day is gone.

To Be As She.

it is the night of dark desire
a song of eternal pain
wolves vent their loneliness
the thirsting one awakes
wisps of death take her breath
and shrouds her pale form
the everlasting fear
is born once again
her raven hair cascading over
translucent ivory shoulders
as she tastes the darkness
a welcoming hello
eating away her mind
lonely thoughts streaming forth
from the earth beneath her

yet over her stands
a shared vitality
and she smiles vaguely at the sight of
modern conspiracy
