Let Me Sleep
Let me sleep.
I just want to be numb,
And feel nothing.
So please let me sleep.
If I’m asleep nothing bad can happen.
I won’t have to witness the sorrow,
The devastation,
Or the death.
So let me sleep,
And wake me up when its safe.
And if that time never comes,
Well,
Just let me sleep.

Running Uphill
All I’m doing is running uphill.
It’s so steep I don’t think I’ll make it to the other side.
I want to get there, I need to get there.
But I won’t make it on my own.
I need you running beside me,
Running as fast as we can to the top,
And over.
All we’re doing, is running up hill.
But at least were running together.

Stroke Of Death
Do not fear the stroke of death.
Because afterwards, that’s it, there’s nothing.
You will be gone so quickly,
You wont even know what happened.
So don’t fear the inevitable stroke of death,
It will happen to all of us.
We have to understand it, acknowledge it,
But never fear it.
Never fear the stroke of death,
You will go mad just thinking about it.

There Is A Light In Your Eyes
There is a light in your eyes.
I saw it the moment I met you.
And it’s been burning bright for a while.
I see this light and think of hope,
And know the world will be better someday.
That light you showed me,
From behind your glittering blues,
Gave me the strength to be myself.
So thank you for that feeling,
And just remember that the light will be there,
Always in your eyes.

You Have All The Power
I see it when I look at you,
I see it in your eyes.
All the power in the world,
Stuck underneath bright brown eyes.
And they come with a devastating smile.
I saw you, I melted, and you had me forever.
You have all the power,
All the power in the world, over me.
You have my unconditional trust and love.
And I will never find anyone else who can do that to me.
You have all the power,
Should I be worried?

I Went To Your Funeral
Yesterday, I went to your funeral.
You asked me to go, read a poem for you.
So I did.
I read a poem about love,
About the love people had for each other.
People seemed to like it, seemed to love you the same way.
I couldn’t figure something out though,
If they felt these things for you, why didn’t I?
I was your friend, but it didn’t seem to bother me,
That you were dead.
I’m sorry I don’t miss you,
But at least I went to your funeral.

Do You Believe In Magic?
What do you think is magic?
A first kiss?
Your first child?
Or the unbelievable.
Fairies and demons,
Or witches and spells.
It’s entirely up to you what you believe.
Or you could not believe in anything like it.
So this is my question to you,
Do you believe in magic?
Is it the music you hear?
Or the extraordinary people you meet?
To me,
All of these things are magical,
They all bless us,
And give us something amazing.
Something we can believe in.
That is true magic.
So, do you believe in magic?

Two To Go
I’m hunting them,
All of them.
One went down with a pull of my trigger,
As did the next,
And the next.
Do you want me to take you out as well?
No,
So get out of my way.
The next one falls,
Splat, on the ground.
Followed by three more,
Then another two,
One by one they dropp dead.
All with a bullet in their head.
Makes me laugh.
A silly little bullet.
Put it in a head,
And it kills people.
Isn’t it funny?
Still hunting,

Pool Of Blood
I was swimming.
Swimming in a pool of blood,
That wasn’t my own.
I realised it was your blood.
It was your blood and it was my fault.
I didn’t mean to.
I didn’t think.
It happened and I cant change it,
But I’m going to drown in it.
I deserve to drown in it.
Don’t I?
It was my fault and nothing will change that.
So I’ll stop swimming,
I’ll drown and everything will be right again.
Everything will be normal.

The Night I Lost You
This night,
This very dark night,
Was the night I lost you.
The cold air blew through my hair,
As I watched you fall to the ground.
Slow motion had seemed to take you over,
As you fell,
And I was suddenly empty,
Nothing, but fear flooded my mind.
I lost you to the dark,
I couldn’t see you anymore.
You went down, down,
And didn’t come back.
Why didn’t you come back to me?
I stood in the night,
Cold.
