Poison Lily

Lament of a Theif

Robed in dark swathes of night
A clever, lightfooted raven took flight
A gleam in her eyes searched her prey
Leaving behind striken disarray
Fast as lightning, here and there
Traveling only by moonlight fair

Swiftly, softly, she enters and leaves
No locks, no safe could force her to cease
Stealing away gold loot and treasure
Testing her skill, limit, and measure
And in the morn, when dawn breaks
She'll be sleeping, while others wake.
