Flapping Fish

I like it, when they are on my fishing rod,
flapping and gasping for breath.
I like to draw them with my eyes,
and make them dream of a nice future.

But there can never be a 'we'.
And only seconds after they leave the safe water,
I kill them with a stick.
Because it´s not nice to let a dying fish suffer.

About Cats And Cars

The cat was living in my street,
always hiding under cars or in trees,
teasing the dogs and the people walking by,
scratching arms and knees.

Last week someone killed this cat with his car,
the whole quarter was happy and glad,
but noone saw that little girl,
that was crying and very sad.

How could a beast like this be loved by someone?
Could you imagine a shark being a pet?
I never thought that this accident,
would push me to deepest regret.

I went to a pet shop and searched for a cat,
just as cruel as our cat had been,
I was trying to make this girl laugh again,
and to wash my bloody hands clean.
