Drawn

He who felt drawn to women
was for a long time surprised
that women felt drawn to men

Café

The ladies at the table next to mine
are window-shopping the mortician's display

with the taste of sweet cream
from a mouthful of pastry

Easter Monday

(for A & J)

20 years since their father died
two grown-up sons
at his grave with a rake & a spade
the elder one recalls a boozy night

he fell asleep between the grave’s
short dense trimmed junipers
a pillow his obscure father’s stone
awoke freezing here 5 am

fog over the pond
where the younger brother bathed as a kid
fog over the graves along the slopes
they have no memories of their father

Three Nights

*
(inspiration)

I want to open the door
and throw myself down
the mountain we live on top of
merely fall through the darkness
and fall until wings are growing out

*
(imitation)

Down

loudly roaring

as thoughts we are
as cursory

A Hand Begins To Talk

A hand begins to talk
a composer's hand
searching for the tit

This soft piece of a wet-nurse
hangs heavily nutritious down in the morning darkness
all faithful fans drawn towards it with force
this yellow sorcery milk of music

*
Blow horn long morning
a long horn's morning wind
easy tones of air for wings to beat

& all the following Old Norse mouthpieces of Odin
hung on Hávamál's Speech of the High One's windy
constantly verdant world tree
Yggdrasil

Ygg: 'the terrifying'
one of Odin's epithets
& drasil: 'horse'

hung pierced by a spear like a rider hit in battle
down from the horseback

& at the same time

at the same time like a fetus
for nine days with its head downwards
in a womb

Salsa

Who’s still hunting four-legged Words down entertainment streets?

anyhow with hesitant ancient hands some picked up drinking
numerous legs out for more wine / drunken pets’ voices

the traffic sign says

CAUTION
the police are
sleeping ahead

*
So many voices / so many streets
eyes in the open entrance of adventure

an inner city of feeling / green desire’s space
a refuge all lushly verdant caresses

thrilled animals up the flourishing steps of desire
