Like You did to Adam the first
Until You have my Eve ready for me
Yes, I need a deep, deep sleep to shun the pains.

So that I won’t notice any beauty
That may draw my heart and mind from me
Until You have my Eve ready
A long dreamless peaceful sleep I desperately need.

Let me not even notice the pairs in nature
That may awaken me before time and cause me pain
Or I end up with Delilah, blind and then die
Induce Your sleep before this comes.

Lord satisfy me with your word
Every morning fill me with Your eternal love
And when you bless me with an extra love
