Do I Dare

Do I dare write another poem about you
Relive the happiness and the pain
That was and is loving you

Relativity of the days that flew by with joy
Now drug out second by painstaking second
Haunted by your memory

So I write again, my love for you
As evidence of the torn and scarred tissue
That is what is left of my heart

Your memory is the reality of my dreams
My life is yours but you are not in it
And my world is empty without you
