Could love sustain

My heart would surely miss a beat,
A beat if you look that way just once,
Just once you tell me that you do,
Give me atleast, atleast one chance.

You say all you do, is just for me,
Then why do I feel so sad,
Away from you, how would I stay,
Impossible It is and you say its just hard.

You taught me to live, and to survive,
Survive to love and aspire,
Taught me to learn and so also to teach,
But didn’t teach how to overcome despair

I could hold me heart, nerve and sinew,
If you would just tell me to,
But this is a punishment far too severe,
How to endure this I have no clue.
