Family, Friends and Fellowship
He gave you arms to hold me up when I am falling down
He gave you lips to cheer me up when storms are all around
He gave you songs to fill me up when words will never do
For this family, oh Father I thank you!
He gave you tears to cry with me when I am filled with grief
He gave you joy to laugh with me when I find relief
He gave you eyes to watch over me as I walk the narrow way
For this family, Father I thank you today!
Family Friends and Fellowship keep me going strong
There’s always someone by my side I know that I belong
To a family bound for glory land, I find myself at ease
’Cause this family who loves Jesus, has His peace!
He gave you tears to cry with me when I am filled with grief
He gave you joy to laugh with me when I find relief
And because you love Jesus, I can trust you to love me too!
For this family, oh, Father I thank you!
For this family, oh, Father I thank you!

Longing For My Father
How I long to see my Father;
Jesus, His redeeming Son
And I’m thankful for the Spirit,
Who will safely guide me home
Father You gave me everything
You sacrificed Your son’s life for me before I could see
You sent Your Holy Spirit to be a comfort in the storm
You know everything about me, yet Your heart for me is warm
And I long to see the Father;
Jesus, His redeeming Son
And I’m thankful for the Spirit,
Who will safely guide me home
I’ll never understand the sorrows You faced
Or how You surrounded me with the Light of Your Grace
You took the darkness of my life; made it vanish in the wind
And You’ve given me a cleaner heart one that You could enter in

Making Plans
Monday morning - Nine O'clock - coffee going cold
Just sitting here thinking about our plans for growing old
We dreamed that we would travel more to places never seen
We’d take long walks along the beach and watch the waves roll in
We'd stroll back to our little home flower garden - picket fence
Then my thoughts return to now and nothing's making sense
All those years of making plans and waiting for the day
When we would start enjoying life - it all just slips away
Last weekend we had dinner out – did chores 'cause we were off
Sunday morning I went to church - you played a round of golf
I'm trying to remember now - what was it that we said -
Memories and so much more are spinning in my head
You said, 'Honey, what time is dinner', and, 'Don't worry if I'm late -
Oh, and just-in-case I meet a friend, Could you set an extra plate? '
You put your arms around me and looked into my eyes
We never ever - ever dreamed that’d be our last goodbye
