Trespassados pela dor constante,
Esmagados por ódios, lutas sangrentas,
Memórias de fome, epidemias violentas.
Povos humildes, carentes, a aguardar
Os meios que sobram de outras gentes!
Devorados por catástrofes, uns.
Esquecidos de entre as tragédias, outros.
Vidas gastas, sofridas, perdidas!
Intensas batalhas deveras aguerridas
Vão deixando no tempo marcas fatais
Ensinando amargamente as gerações a...
Reconstruir as suas vidas desiguais.

This language for me means work,

Hopeful Landscapes
Gracious days blessed
By warm, angelic rays
Appeasing our soul and heart
Leaving some grief apart...
They shine quietly, indeed
Through a silent atmosphere
Sustaining life we revere
While God's renewing it every year!
Fields outside cover'd with dew
In very cold, wintry degrees
Contemplate the sky above
As if praying for humans, birds, trees.

Lands from across the world
Apologize, embrace one another
Causing us a cheerful sigh!

I wonder...
They say that my lines
convey serenity, peace, harmony.
But I wonder: does it inhabit in those thoughts
some fantasy? A little of bravery?
How can we balance
the ongoing inner noise
where joy and sorrow are pervasive?
Will it be the divine companionship?
Will it be for love?
We believe that, from that noise
to the forthcoming silence,
we keep walking our way,
illuminated here and away,
with some shadows, though,
and the permanent protection of The Lord!

Mysteries Of The Nature
In the hot afternoon sun
They seemed eager to run
And cast a glance to each other
Remaining silent and closer...
One was bright in its yellow colour
The other soft in its light blue
One was sweet as a lover
The other... kind and true.
'Could you come nearer, please? ',
The yellow one echoed.
'I've got one wing diseased...',
The blue one complained.
'Close your eyes, see how I feel,
A loving daffodil...'
'Right. Now we both can fly! '
Thus spoke and smiled the blue butterfly.

Um Rumo Diferente
Em tempos tão críticos...
Sucedem-se os debates políticos
Mais os 'Frente a Frente'
E as várias Entrevistas
Que surpreendem toda a gente.
O povo estupefacto, desanimado,
Incrédulo, desconfiado,
Interroga-se: 'Como assim? ! '
Onde estão a transparência,
Civismo, verdadeira ética,
Em toda esta dialéctica?
Precisamos de competente liderança,
Transparente gestão e confiança,
Solidariedade, trabalho, cooperação,
P'ra erguermos a nova Nação!

A Life Story
The quietness and brightness of our days
Escaped from here, my dear.
It shouldn't have been that way -
For the memories, fondness, care
Are treasured inside me, and I pray.
Much strength, enthusiasm, determination
Were always at our side
But now there is no celebration
For it suddenly deprived us
Of that positive, sweet Inspiration!
I struggle for regaining my energy
For releasing inner cries and sorrow
That are hindering me from being free
And persist to dig a big hollow!

A Spiritual Journey
Many lovely stories have been told
So passionately, rich they are like gold.
Strong feelings, lively emotions have been preserved
So intensely, true they are so vivid!
Daily melodies have added a sweet flavour
Conveying divine messages from our Saviour.
A spiritual journey had its start,
And it will never stop or fall apart.
She is pursuing her dream warmly
Enlightened by the ONE who attentively
Guides her, feeding her soul and mind
To be able to reach there those so kind!

On a Rainy Day
The morning air was very cold,
And the sky was extensively grey
On that heavy rainy day.
It invited me to write...
Some heartfelt common lines
From the bottom of my heart.
As the rain was heavily touching the ground,
I thought of thousands of homeless around
Without a shelter, food and care
In the urgent need of a family,
Which would be fair.
The rain had already stopped
When someone knocked at my door.
I saw a young couple barefoot,
Who, for so little, blessed me and my family galore.
