She is Journeying
She rises
Lonely path
Arriving destination
She rests
Still journeying
Strolling seemingly
Right road
Coming close
Lays head
Up baggage
Treacherous way
Stop ahead
Meandering mysteriously
She is journeying

People come People go Who stays?
People go
To their synagogues mosques churches temples nightclubs and bars
People go to feel good People go
People go
To pray their prayers sing their songs drink their beers and dance their beat
People go
To be better feel better seek better because they know best
People go
When will people come
To know less experience more and give all
People come People go
Who stays?

I Care Myself to Rest
I cry myself to sleep wondering if caring is the only way to be me
If I really have to give it all to receive nothing at most and brokenness at least
I cry myself to sleep feeling the pain of a hand that grips my heart pressing from all sides
Squeezing, smothering
I cry myself to sleep
Will it stop
Will it go away
Will I know a beautiful day
When the words you say
Wipes away my tears
I cry myself to sleep
Make it stop
Make it dry
Make me care free

The Haunted
I sleep, I wake, just same.
Haunted.
Tears don't work.
Pain won't go.
Haunted.
Maybe its here to stay.
My bag of rocks.
Haunted.
No great purpose.
Just be my load.
Haunted.
To hold me back.
This heavy sack.
Haunted.
I wake today. Maybe time to pray.
Haunted.
This curse must go.
Hit lowest low.
Haunted.
Nightmare of my soul.

Victory be theirs
The tar in the streets more valuable than the soil on which they sleep
The tag on my shirt more valuable than their bed positioned in dirt
The crown on my head more valuable than seeing them dead
The victory of our team
The goals for which we dream
The bank account
The dance about
The car we drive
The randela for which we thrive
Our comfort
Our pleasure
Every accomplished treasure
More than
the breath they breathe
the water they drink
the food they eat
and the thought they speak

Peacemaker
Peace it is
Easy to walk
Outside in the pouring rain
Wondering what the rush is about
Hurrying people looking as if they all insane
State of craziness
Mistaken for apathy
It is a pity
That all don't enjoy
The still quiet serenity
Of knowing the maker
The peacemaker
Giving himself to us
No need to cuss
Or grow weary
Wondering when change
Will perpetuate itself into being
Closing our eyes and all we are seeing
Is stillness in a darkness

I Was Waiting
i was waiting
but all i could hear
was an overwhelming silence
over... and over... and over
again...
and again...and again
merciless society
perpetuating my pain
causing me to go insane
to live a life
riddled by memory
over and over and over again
found unbound
senseless defenceless
no guilt or shame
only my
mind been stained
forever ingrained

[Censored] OFF
Who the [censored] filters art
Its like claiming perfume is the substance of your [censored] fart
This the [censored] problem with society we don't give a [censored] that people run the show make us look like 7billion clowns all in a pretty row
Gremlins can [censored] us over each day but wish to display our artistic rebellion and feel the shackles of [censored] in action
Stand for this, never will I
I'll make censored seem like the worst [censored] word under the sky
So to the [censored] who censored my write you know I think you'll are [censored] [censored] with little might.
Go [censored] yourselves!

Black man be human
Black man takes out his wallet and lays it bare for all to see
Marauding notes casing his dignity
Black man be human
Question, how can I be?
Equal to the white man, silk hair smooth skin
Black man be human
Status restored but dignity ignored
Simply shaped by his disfigured identity
Causing all to scream
Black man be human
Black man takes out his wallet and lays it bare for all to see
A face achieved yet sadly he realises
Now the world screams
Black man you are human
Shaped in a western perception
Of what it means to be
Black man you are human
Black man: ‘I am human'
As they told me to be
No uniqueness
