Valentine Wine
Darling Mine!
This is thine.
This is valentine wine.
Now drink and be mine,
Only for a day’s season.
But bury this in your mind:
Sweetheart, this night only we will dine.
With wine and in sin we will rhine.
Worry not my gullible mine,
Every valentine you will be mine.
Love that waits for valentine
to be renewed,
Will last only but a pint of lifetime;
And like a feeble mushroom
be erased by the dews.
Love then all the time,
Not minding the clime,
Show love to all that is of life,
For life without love is full of strife,
Darling mine, love every time,

Light Beckons Her
LIGHT BECKONS HER
Light beckons her
She that travailed much
Light beckons her
She that tasted life’s test in earnest
Light beckons her
She that suffered much in her years
Light beckons her
She that passed her test in flying colours
Light beckons her

Peaceful Prayers
Let there be peace in the world.
Let us all see peace and not war.
Let us all have peace in the world.
Let all our statesmen know no violence,
Let all love peace with warm vehemence,
Let all be clothed with passionate patience,
Let all respect peace with real reverence.
Let peace pervade every political terrain,
Let peace calm the spirits of every domain,
Let peace be at peace with every reign,
Let each achieve peace with poor pain.
Peace, to you we plead: come to us.
Peace, we entreat you: deign on us.
Peace, we want you: envelope us.
Let our homes be adorned with peace,
Let our streets be paved with peace,
Let our cities be set on a hilltop of peace.
Let peace taint our every thought.
Let there be peace, let peace never cease
Let there be peace, let war forever cease.

My Trust in Him
The almighty is the strength of my hopes
Better than the taste and the scent of many dopes
The almighty is my daily brook of unending joy
Happy am I for of this I shall continually enjoy
The almighty is the foundation of my life
How can I ever fret for any stubborn strife
The almighty is the owner of my everyday
How I keep every fear and foe at bay
God is my trust, I mind not the nervous nights
God is my trust, I sorrow not in my many plights
For the moon that shied away behind the cloud
Will so soon shine away from it no doubt
The trials may seem to be many
I trust in God, I trust not any
The trials in my path will so soon disappear
Smooth stones will so soon pave my track
