Sentimentality
Let us play music, any rhythm at hand.
Orchestral, some Jazz and a Rock'n'Roll Band.
Divas a-singing, their high notes so fine,
Love song and ballad... a poetical line.
Let there be romance with no sad goodbyes.
Just moonlight and roses and summertime skies.
Rich tenor and baritone, a sweet violin.
Sentimentality... 'Begin the Beguine'.

A White Wedding Veil
A breezy day for a Bride in her prime,
Controlling her dainty wedding veil...
But in the Church, with love in her heart
Her distinctive aura cast a magical spell.
At the Altar the bluest of eyes shone with love.
She would keep those vows ~ and never fail.
Tomorrow, the dream of a lifetime would start.
All thanks to a 'white wedding veil'.

Jane Married Romeo
Vince asked Rose for a dance
But there was no romance
No amorous kiss...
Rose was cold and remiss,
~~~because~~~
Rose loved Romeo.
He sat there across the room
Talking with Jane,
Which filled Rose with gloom.
So when the evening was over
Vince walked home all alone
Preferring his life without a wife,
Happy to stay in the 'bachelor zone'.
The Girl who never said Yes (Double Limerick)
The girl of his dreams was sweet Bess,
For Bess was ahead of the rest
She may have been older,
He could cry on her shoulder
But Bess was the girl who never said Yes.
He had searched the world East to West
The girl of his dreams was still Bess.
One day he grew bolder
And tried to enfold her
But Bess was the girl who never said Yes.
Until We Parted
Never saw the fields of tulips
never heard a skylark sing
never saw a sea so tranquil
until I wore your wedding ring.
Never saw a band of angels
never heard a nightingale
never heard a string concerto
until I wore a wedding veil.
Never felt so lost and lonely
never felt so down at heart
never felt the pangs of jealousy
until the day we had to part.
Minds in Harmony
Jane's interest is solely in music
Away from the bustle of town
And oh how she loves the music
When Greensleeves Fantasia comes round.
There's magic in the Vaughan Williams' sound.
James' days are too long without music
So many misgivings abound
And oh how he loves the music
When the Moonlight Sonata comes round.
There is mystery in the Beethoven sound.
The Rose Means Peace
In Heaven there is a flower
With petals that never die.
A picture seen near the byway
Where golden pebbles lie.
In Heaven there is a bower
Of plants and leaves that cry:
Cry out with lasting glory
In the Land where angels fly.
A rose means 'peace' in Heaven
In that garden beyond the sky,
And all who enter through the gates
will sense their God is nigh.
In Memory of Elvis
Posted August 2009.
Elvis Presley, the King of Rock 'n' Roll.
Presley the legend, generous, talented soul.
So attractive to the eye; Elvis had the magic
No man or woman clould deny.
On 16 August 77, sadly Elvis died
And now he is at peace in the heaven on high.
His beautiful musical score will be
in our hearts forevermore...
The world will never ever forget.
Her Nightmare
Their marriage had been so happy
Sad moments? No there were none.
Until the night of her sad sad dream
'Her Man was the Unfaithful One'
From dawn the next day and forever more
She yearned for the love she had known
But suspicion still lurked within her mind
And she walked faraway all alone...
Just because of a nightmarish dream
The dream that changed everything.
