Lies Beneath the Flowers
She spins and spins in flirting skin
Beneath the ground in sheets,
Rolled up too soon for winter's death bloom
Now she will spring in weeks.

The Stage
Insidious, harlequin jewel.
the melodrama waits among it's peers,
listening for it's entrance onto the stage.
But alas,
a thin mustached buffoon spit's out
in deep exaltation
'not all the world hides behind a mask! '

Jack, Of All Trades
Dabble in this and
dabble in that,
a mighty fine time
under many a hat.
Considered by many
a jack of all trades,
I've even learned inmates
how to play spades.
Now looking back on
from the eve of my life,
I see darlings and lovers
but nary a wife.
Just scraps of old letters
women wanting to wed,
I'll read with my dinner
the day after im dead.
