Pain, Hope

Every time I see the light
I'm pushed back by pain
The pain that haunts me
The pain that kills me
The pain I know
Forever a knife in my back

Hope is still in my heart
I charge forward brave
The hope that keeps me
The hope that heals me
The hope I need
Forever clinging to my soul

Lonliness won't lighten up
Forever drifting alone
The pain that numbs me
The pain that fills me
The pain I know
