Pride (the 7 deadly sins)

What exactly does the word pridefulness imply
lacking humility although everything in your life
was given to you by the one that you still deny
your lack of faith and trust in God
can you not hear him when he cries
some call it a virtue, but man you must be blind
someday your pride will hurt you
and he will be there when you die
but I bet you he still loves you
and he will show you how to fly
but first you need to let him in
first you need to lose your pride
