Some Sadness
I cropped a little of us every day.
Tirelessly joined the pieces together and
Slipped them under my pillow.
Took them out and unrolled them
In my darkest night,
Marvelled at our completeness
Extended and silent as moonlight that
Trips through back streets and
Over back yard walls.
Like staring at the sun, you have remained
Emblazoned in my eyes.
Time for the final bow.
Your dance on my eyelids is drawing in, while
Overhead runs melody and lyric and
