Lost but found

We met as friends
but parted ways
to meet again

But alas things changed
and brought along pain

Not knowing the reason why
my life had changed
while I struggled
to come to terms

But slowly as the years rolled by
I stood up on my own

Never knew that there would
come a day to open my heart to you
