Credit crunch(I.O.U)
Trillions gone, trillions in hide
Expansions hold depression’s curse
Sooting promises, calming pills
Ailing patient seems to get worse

Credit goes to…
Thousands of hands were involved
Some visible some unseen
From architect to painter
Plumber, carpenter and all the rest
Displayed their craftsmanship
Creating a comfortable, beautiful house
When the building finally stood ready
It was proudly pronounced
Mr. X had built a house
The man, who never had put his foot there
Till the house was all complete

Different reactions
A wizard once said
Reactions to wrongs and evil vary
The bravest would fight back
With all the might they possess
With all the tools available
Next to them would denounce and condemn
Loud and clear, so the world could know
What they stood for
Many would dare not to utter their thoughts
Just hating the evil within their feeble hearts
Cowards but still part and parcel of good
Beware the rest, he warned
They are wrong doers or ignorents
Very easy preys and tools in hands of evil

The question of faith
In the midst of miseries
The faces of staunched
Kept glowing
With tranquiilty and peace
Strengthen by their faith
Anchored in belief
Looking at the empty hole
Deep in the soul
I sighed
Why?
I wondered
The lamp of faith
Shines not
Illuminating the inner realms
Dissipating the darkness around
Giving the gifts of trust and belief
Heart shed a bleeding tear
The mind laughed mockingly
Reminding me the day
When I had sacrificed

Monkey struggle
Skinny legged monkey
Jumps from tree to tree
Giggling loud at spree
To be at last free
Incapable to comprehend
In his peanut sized brain
There was nothing he could gain
As he didn’t drive the train
He kept jumping from tree to tree
Train kept moving with full speed
Enhancing the unjustifiable greed
Ignoring the red signals, refusing to heed
The jugglers laughed and laughed
Leting loose the rope
When spectators clinged to hope
Trusting the monkey will finally cope
Poor little monkey did whatever he could
To avoid the inevitable crash
With high jumps and dash
By making everything a mash

Beyond the threshold
Confused within stone walls
Wearing the mantle of vulnerability
Swaying between
Slumber deep and vigilance great
A king grand in beggar's cloths
The world flurried n caused pain
Outspread decadance, brain drain
With bleeding heart n grieved soul
Wondered he of life, its goal
Confounded by memories erased
Swallowed by world concrete
Struggle n strain overwhelming life
A constant hurt a perpetual strife
Trying hard to retain sanity
Searching, striving for clarity
The pain augmented
Flowing down in segments
Dragging to whirling, ferocious winds
Pushing towards the eye of storm
The only sanctuary left in sight

Greed is the key
The architects of the plans calculated
Measured the inner depths
Startled by the results
In unison they agreed
East vs. West, wasn’t a real choice
A lethargic, content East
Too ego-centric, too secretive to share
Not hungry enough to press ahead
Not materialistic enough to strive
While plans demanded
Efforts frenetic
As a storm unheard of was
About to be unleashed
A magical era to dawn
The wizards knew
None but some vice
Could help accomplish the task
Demons of desires n greed
Descended from hell
Penetrated the minds of nations elect

Three silly monkeys
See no evil!
Speak no evil!
Hear no evil!
Preached a sage
Three monkeys heard and became impressed
They started practising the given rules
Without giving any deeper thought
As incapable they were, to do so
Each time they saw something thing they considered evil
They closed their eyes
Each time they heard of evil
They closed their ears
Any mentioning of the evil
And they covered their mouths
Interpreting the teaching
As best as they could
One day they heard the roar of a cheeta
Which sounded so sinister
Immediately they covered their ears
They felt the impulse to speak
