Words Can
Words can hurt
Words can heal
A simple word can mend a broken heart
Just put them out like some people do
The damage that is done
You can never undo
So think of what you are trying to say
Because some words never fade away
They are held in the heart or stuck in the mind
Coming to the surface from time to time
To raise us up or bring us down
Sometimes the words that hurt the most
Are the words we don't say
The ones that use to flow freely from our lips
Telling someone how much we care

Winner At Last
I guess it really was never meant to be -
Being more than just friends you and me
Looking back at all the years
Why it never happened
It may never be known why
Once or twice getting so close
Always thinking it was a loss
Now I realize I came out on top
For we are close friends even today
I know some people may never understand
How what we had could be so grand
That knowing you the way I do
For you always brought out the best in me
I hope someday you can say that too

Blind Of Blessings
I as sit here waiting for death
To one day knock at my door
I look back at life with amazement
At all the Lords given me
And never noticing them at the time
But oh how I can site every short fall in my wants and needs
When they never seem to come to past
What a shollow person I must have been
In the eyes of the Lord
So I ask you Lord to forgive me
For I know now I have been truely blessed
For age has opened my eyes and heart

The death of middle america is coming
What use to be the back bone of this country
Is disappearing fast
What the goverment said would save the country
Is killing the middle class
People going hungry in the country that feeds the world
What about our own who have gave all their lives
Who will come to their rescue
When life has gone astway
Wake up America
You fight for rights of others
Fight for your brothers and sisters
Wake up the goverment to their fate

On The Last Day
As I await the the birth of spring
I watch winter take it's last breaths of life
Before it must wither and die like all things.
It reminds me of all who have gone before me
Leaving me with memories of a life all but gone
Wishing that I to may leave something worth remembering
To all that I will leave behind
For I believe we live on in the hearts of those we have touched
With kindness and caring without anything being asked in return

This new years eve
I willl dance
With the hands of time
For I know her moves
For we have danced
From time to time

Reach Out Of The Darkness
I have walked in the darkness of desperation
Looking for salvation of the light
I called out to my Lord in despreration
To show me the way with His might
He sent me His love In one of His creation
A friend who came from my past
Telling me of His love and might
This person turned out to be my light
Filled me hope and salvation
Making me want to live again
Just by knowing I was wanted
The darkness no longer was my only friend

Book Of Life
Life is like a book
A mystery
How many chapters will I have
Will the words bring joy or saddness
Success or failure
A book with no forward
For it is written day by day
With the ending known only by one
Will it be a novel, short story
Or an never ending story known by many
Lived by few
Oh how we would like it to be a best seller,
A classic endearing to the end of time
But sorry to say for most of us
Our story will be only be known by few
I will be happy with that
As long as I don't become one of the forgotten
I believe our storys go on
For as long as someone remembers our story.
