Don't Let me Wake
Let us dance among the moon beams
Rest are heads upon the stars
For life with you my darling
Is as close to heaven by far
Everyday an adventure
Of what real love can be
So Lord please don't wake
For these dreams I am having
Are as close to love

So let me have one more hour
In this world that was never meant for me
For in the breaking dawn

The yeas are slipping by
But those memories of you
Stand still
Holding tight with a grip
Strangling all hope
Of anyone new
Taking your place
For my heart won't let go
In fear it will miss
The next time your love
Comes round again
For to miss the brass ring
Time after time
Is more than this old heart
Can take
So it's better to be lonely
Then to lose that chance

Whispers In The Wind [How I Write]
The words I write
Are just whispers in the wind
Coming home to greet me
Like an old friend
Swirling around in my head
Waiting to be set free
From my mind to my fingertips
On paper they must be
Written down before they're gone
Oh Lord how can this be
Word by word they hit the page
In an order I do not know
But once all are written
They are where they all should go

The Lord Walks Beside Us
The Lord walks beside us
Each and everyday
In the form of another
Like a friend or a brother
When we are lost and lonely
With no one to set us free
From all that is troubling us
A hand held out
A soothing word
That's all we really need
Melting all our sorrows
Setting us free
Oh how the Lord touches us
Even though He's never seen
For He has His helpers
Who are there to meet our needs
Some call them angels

Did you see it shatter
When you broke my heart
In to a million pieces
Scattered all about

You rolled me up like and old love letter
Tossing me to the floor

Life can be so cruel if you give your heart
Especially if the person you give it to

In you I find peace
A safe place to be
When the world is going crazy

Oh how lonely it is
To be alone with myself
For I have come to realize
This is my life
Always was always will be
The one who never was chosen
But taken as a last resort
Only wanted to be Loved
Never came around

But left before I knew it

For they keep me from myself

Stuck Inside Our Minds
You can throw away the old letters
The pictures and such
But sometimes those memories
Seem to stay with us
Until we turn to dust
Some how those that gone
Leave you something behind
Stuck it in the corner
Out of sight but in our mind
Never knowing they left it
They come back time to time
Sometimes to back our hearts
Or get us through the day

Unbearable
Life sometimes seems unbearable
No relief in site
No matter how you try to forget someone
They are always there inside of you
Stuck there in some corner
Hidden so there is nothing you can do
Just when you think you have forgtten
The thought of them begins anew
Bringing back unanswered questions
Was it the right thing did I do
Or should have I waited
To see what you were going to do
Then these questions that haunt me
