The next time that we meet
We'll be strangers
Even though we've known
Each other a long long time
For next time that we meet

For the person that I knew
We'll be gone forever
To only be a memory
To keep this cold and lonely heat beating

If I Left This World
If I left this world tomorrow
Would anybody notice
Would anybody care
Would they feel somthing missing
A strangeness in the air
Or would they go about their day
Like I was never here
Would anybody notice
Anybody care
Have I not touched a life or two
While I walked the earth
Lord won't you show me
That I have some worth
Let me be known for the words I write

When old memories come to life
Oh what a delight
To hold them in your hands
Even for a short time
It make your life so grand
That they came back for you
When you thought things were through
But life had different plans
So never count them out

Goodbye To Summer
As the green leaves of September
Turn golden in the October sun
Summer starts to close it's eyes
For It's time to say goodbye
To give way to fall
With all of her glorious colors
Before the cold winds of winter
Turn the world dark and gray
Leaving us just memories of happier days
When life was full with no regrets
Hoping that the coming spring
Will bring a new life

Fifty Marbels
Fifty years of marbeles
Pulled from our jars
One by one
Shared with the love of each other
We've watched as the years melted away
Oh how it seemed like only yesterday
When things were all brand new
Now after these fifty years
Whats left in our jars
Are meant for us to renew
All the good times togather
With all those we met on the way
For when the jars go empty
On to the Lord

Almost Real
I may hold you only in my dreams
Talk to you in my sleep
Wish things would of turned out different
But things are what they are to be
So memories of you are mine forever

The darkest side of me

I've seen love from a distance
It has even brushed my cheek

If we had no color
Would we still hate each other
What other differences
Would bring out the distaste
In this world with all it's sorrows

Could bring on better days
For if we could work togather

Would you give me
One more hug
Before I have to go
Give me a memory
That I can hold
Would you whisper in my ear
The words I never got to hear
Those words would make this
Parting a little easier to bare

I use to look in the mirror
Wonder what happened there
Where did that youthful look go
