Rose Petals

The wedding bells of long ago have ceased
The petals of the roses once so sweet
Have fallen one by one, still they live
On and forever through time and space.
They're not dead inspite of all the years
Their fragrance fills the air, lingers still.
The hopes of long ago are not so bright
As once they were, like mellow rays of light.
They shine thru-out our lives until the end,
Guiding our steps and showing us the way,
As myriad stars that sparkle from above
Encircling us with everlasting Love.
