Today…

Today I hurt myself,
Just to see if I could still feel.

Today I hurt myself,
Just to see if I am real.

Today I hurt myself,
Just to feel the blood dribble.

Today I hurt myself,
Just to feel the tears trickle.

Today I hurt myself,
So that the wounds would heal.
