My African Dream
My dream, a dream of peace
a dream of laughter and ease
children running free
playing in the streets
without violence just peace.
A dream of sunrise and sunsets
the african way
where our hearts stay,
acceptance as we are
like just another star.
For this we are yearning
respect we are earning
Africa the nation without race

Where do i stand?
Years ago you stole my heart
i gave in from the start
i give you everything
my love is free
everyday with praise i sing
he loves me, he loves me.
But now i think what if its true
those words i hear- he's cheating on you
im so confused my heart is crying
and everyday my trust is dying.
I wish youd tell me with all honesty
exactly what you want from me
im done wasting time on you
and worrying about what you do.

Condone my stupidity
Adjusting myself to suit your needs
reaping the wrong of your deeds
not saying out loud what i felt
not so sure if i could've dealt
with all the hate i had inside
for you, your body and your pride
Without you i felt bent, torn apart
knowing it was wrong from the start
staring at you i knew too well
that you were hurting me but refused to tell
anyone who asked why
i chased away and silently cried
Alone i sat in my room
with all those feelings of gloom
wishing that i could through them aside
i angrily felt that i had lost my pride
