This is a dreadful night

This is a dreadful night, tonight
though the moon is still there
amid the stars,
trees are nodding slowly
leaves of Neem tree
are still shining
but i am not missing home tonight[so]
this is a dreadful night tonight
yes, i had been missing home,
as a small boy of a boarding school,
that time through whole winter nights,
with my closed but awaking eyes,
with a tear-soaked pillow
i missed home

o lust!
you are lying widely
there in my body and mind
i know long there have been
opposing sounds which you find
but darling lust,
i am grateful to you
i learnt a surprising thing
