Life's Greatest Possession
Those clothes express
Perfumes will bathe
Her diamonds twinkle
That money buys
These things adorn
But never to love
For life's greatest
Possession
Is thyself

An Irresistible Agony
An Irresistible Agony
April Swan
You knew you would
Hurt me
But you continued to
Cut me
You knew I was crying
But you pushed me
You shoved me
You ripped my heart out
Though you don't even touch me
But you torture me so
Even when I know
You do not love me

Looking in the mirror
Looking in the mirror
What is to see?
This girl is no longer
She's a stranger to me
That face is so wise
Innocence futile
Realities ticking
But she's right on time I see
I do not know her
She's stranger
You see
And I have just met her
Though I'm looking at me

My Illicit Sunlight
Oh, beautiful sunray
How do you not see?
How beautiful you
Really are to me,
You're a filtered
Invisible caress
When darkness invades
Your sun will pervade
But how could it be
Night has stolen thee
All alone I must be
To wait for time
To grant me,
That lovely ray
My illicit sunlight

Greed
There's a crawling
In my mind
Whispering
Poor me, poor me
Centering me
As chaos
Consumes me
But never to think
About what others see
The pain they do feel
It is always too late
Release and me
And guilt completes
The inner fate
A monster yet
A crawling deed
The wrath of all
My want and need

Recyling Love
Alone in the road
Stuck and soaked
Water running through
So used
So forgotten
So broken
Their plastic
Has been choken
As feet crush
And kick thee
Invisibly
Filthy
So nobody
But not to me
I pick up each
Tenderly
Recycle them lovely
For all of them worthy
To feel like they
Are somebody

Watching TV
Smiling and a whispering
A caress of skin
That loving kiss
Just me and you
But more a nightmare
In the screen
Because it is not the I see
But their sweat lingering
Lovingly
I'm alone and unseen
Watching TV
Knowing the only sweat
Accompanying me
Are those gentle drops
Leaking from my eyes
Indefinitely

The pen
There's a sorrow in this world I keep,
Hid behind a lock and key,
In my eyes it bursts at the seam,
No escape or breaths of relief
To calm this yearning whose killing me
Though, I found a way to let the ink of blackened hate,
To funnel down the tip of expression on this page
It's the only thing to keep the fears at bay and last me just another day.

Vanity vs. Personality
Vanity
Beauty
Divine of thee
With those
Eyes of the sea
Golden tresses soft and lovely
Copper skin glowing so vibrantly
And angel to be seen in the
Eyes of envy
But her mouth froths of distaste
That nose turns up in haste
To those who are not to date
But appearances fade
With disgust and age
Only a nasty persona
To acquaint
Lonely she must wait
To fulfill her only fate

Unmasked
I tried to tell you the selfish seed
The monster I keep inside of me
Even every lie
I tell even me
I'm alright
But I plead in my eyes
I warned you
I did try
I'm broken and
Crying inside
That monster I keep tied
It unleashed just so slight
Enough for your retreat
Looking at me
So sorry you had to see
My face with selfish need
Leaving me lonely indeed
That monster
That is me
My lonely seed
