Bunny Slippers (TM) (For Will)
Bunny slippers,
Bunny slippers,
Pitter patter feet,
Running down the hallway,
Seeing who they meet.
Bunny slippers,
Bunny slippers,
Running all night long,
Curious feet,
Can really do no wrong.

The Strange Silence
It's strange how,
She opens every cupboard and drawer,
And hangs from my clothes,
She throws things loudly,
And hounds us all day,
With her boisterous charm.
And it's strange how,
He never stops talking,
We constantly hear,
About his latest invention,
His important ideas,
His grand plans and schemes,
Designed to improve the world.
But the strangest things of all,
Is the silence that ensues,
The very second I mention,
Bedtime,
Homework,

Butterfly, The Creature of Change and Survival
I grow,
I struggle,
I am not nurtured,
Nor cared for,
I learn the harsh lessons,
Of Life,
Alone.
Then,
Satisfied in my growth,
Having learnt my lessons,
I gain maturity,
I am ready,
For change.
I build walls,
Around myself,
To protect,
This change,
For change I must.

The Conversation of Dreamers
Dream thrower, dream thrower,
Throw me a dream,
Please make it good,
Like strawberries and cream.
Dream catcher, dream catcher,
Make me a wish,
Please make it tasty,
Just throw me the dish.
Dream thrower, dream thrower,
Look in my heart,
Just find what you need,
That would be a start.
Dream catcher, dream catcher,
I wish that I could,
Please don’t assume,
Don’t tell me I should.

I Dream of a Perfect School
I dream of much,
For my child,
They should be trained,
And not run wild.
They should learn French,
And Arabic too,
They should learn English,
It’s long overdue.
They should learn karate,
And self-defense,
Gymnastics, Soccer,
Not sit on a bench.
They should learn Art,
To sing and perform,
They should learn drama,
For this is the norm.

For My History Teacher
I’m sitting in class,
My eyes about to close,
I hope teacher don’t see,
I hope she don’t see me.
Bored out of my mind,
Falling so behind,
Cannot concentrate,
I came to class too late.
Although I was on time,
My body was I mean,
My mind is still outside,
From class trying to hide.
What does all this mean?
I haven’t used it yet,
How can I retain it,
When already I forget?
