What Shall Your Joy Be

When many live like kings
While you know that they are lost
And you remain muted to bring
Them to recovery and save them
What shall your joy be

When your closest neighbor is dying
And this knowledge is only revealed to you
But you refuse to save her when
The power of her salvation is with you
What shall your joy be

When only because of your negligence
That boy or girl goes to hell

Election Time, Mother's Concern

Intrepidity is scarce
in the ebulliency of mothernism pacific auscultation outrightly lacking
in the concern of a caring mother
multiple anxiety craves in
in the clime of chromic cities
the air of egregious states
the naturalty of maledicted nation
particularly in tempus of electioneering where,
cadaverous polls frighten thumb printers
carnivorous contenders allay phobia in the aura
megalomaniac looters eye political cushions
impulsive poly-thieves breathe at the helm of brutality
blood and aqua exist in the bag of synonyms certainly,
mother’s concern in necessary plausibility
and maternal restriction to vote in oodua land in obligation only,
very unfortunate the irony of politics is,
and as a patriotic citizen from a caring mother,
how regretful my situation cries

A Hard Decision Taken...

Rejoicing in the appellate of a learned; Father’s happiness, mother’s concern, Anticipating the graduation of a law scholar Parentage optimism, friends’ accolades, Studying in the ebullient mood of an accomplisher; Hopes high, relaxation short, status great, Living as Christ would live on earth; The fervency of a Christian, the readiness to go to heaven, Listening to the message on restitution; Pastor preached, my heart-arrested, A reminiscence of a source to my scholarship; Heaven spoke; obedience needed, A state of dilemma waiting for my choice; Here lies a threat to my career! The call of GOD persistently rings, I must obey; Neglecting the vanity in the pride of life; Forsaking the pleasures in the accolades from friends; Deciding towards meeting the will of GOD; I give up all that is not His and echo: OH LORD THY WILL BE DONE…
