Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lake

Her gentle nature,
Light as a petal's touch
set in a motionless gaze,
steady as a fine Athenian sculpture...

Hair a blonde-white cloud of spiraling ringlets
settled to her shoulders,
eyes rare cerulean blue, stolen from
those incomparable lake pools in the Italian Alps,
or so they tell me...I have never been there, at least not until now.

Her fair skin would deepen to a rose-flush,
if she knew I worshiped her this way,
If she knew how she caused my pulse to gallop.
her fabled lips would purse,
she would flash a quick change of subject,
fighting the bemused smile of one subjected to flattery,

Hear as she quotes scripture, now,
Something from Corinthians...

Heaven on Earth

Daughter, Sister, Mother, Wife,
Keeper of Earth, Giver of Life.

Tranquil is thy Soul in flight
As it travels to new heights.

Beautiful is thy holy Life
In God's hallowed blessed sight.

In gentleness of Womanhood
Reflecting heavens might.

Solace in thy loving arms
To soothe thy earthly plight.

Husband, Father, Brother, Son
Strong and loving Gentle One.

Protector of thy living Soul
Keeper of the Sacred Scroll.

Genderation

Heterosexuality
Is not my fate by chance
In spite of men's obscenity
I still long for romance.

So why is it that we,
Can not seem to see,
The plain normality,
Of homosexuality.

It's simply not a choice.
They deserve a voice.
Its time to be free
From all the simple minded
Homophobic insanity.

There is a generation
Across this modern nation
Who have the consternation
To be just who they are.

The Heart of Kansas

My heart belongs to Kansas
My soul and mind do too
In the eyes of my sweet love
Like the skies above so blue.

You touch my very soul
You take my breath away
And as I travel in my mind
It's at your side I'll stay.

Where ever this life takes me
How far and wide I roam
I'll return to Kansas
My ever loving home.

Its there I'll find my family
Its there we've all been born
And from this land of plenty
I never can be torn.

Reflections of Love

Reflections of Love

This man obsessed with the feminine gender
A romanticist of the 33rd degree
Will his gentle heart surrender
And set his wondrous spirit free.

His eyes in the stars, the moon and the sky
His soul grounded to the beautiful earth
With a thirst for his life's truest pleasure
At last awakening to his own worth.

Such gentle love of his reflection
He can't contain this loving light
He consumes her waiting heart strings
With the song of loves delight.

What fuel can flame such enduring passion,
can you see behind the mirror?
Is she there, among the roses, her voice soft and clear,

Loves Destiny

I long to quiesce
in the warmth of your arms.

To swim in the waves
of your sensual charms.

Your voice running through my mind
like a dream,

Lips cool and gentle
as a mountain stream

I rest in the calm
Of your beautiful soul

As we walk arm in arm
Through this life we will stroll

And there by your side
I am finally whole

Courting the End

A room filled with manic voices,
mingling stories of tragic choices,
lives entwined in the dance of fate,
love's sweet flower has turned to hate
for the one who was their life long mate.

Laughter rings in hollow echo's
not the tones of levity,
nervous laughter speaks of sadness,
for the final last decree.

Patience is a standing virtue,
until your number is soon called,
another form
another window,
the process starts,
the process stalls.

Lawyers mingle in our midst,
tending to the mindful endings.

Forest Primeval

Forest Primeval

As I walk through
this forest realm.

Breathing in
the mellow mist of scents,
the molting leaf, the broken bark
of times past.

My skin breathes in
the cool kiss of morning air.

I exhale breathless,
in the presence,
of such divine beauty.

I reach out to touch
the divinity of life
of this forests sweet soul.

Nother Damn Poem

Tonight, when tiredness seeks you out and finds you,
I will reach for you,
fold you in my arms tenderly,
and tuck you in close.
We can laugh about it all, now.

If your shoulders ache,
and your neck is stiff I will caress them lightly
so carefully you will not notice
when the pain leaves.

If there are tears, I will brush them away
and take them to God
to exchange for blessings..
I will pray over you, warm you with love
and heal you with the gentleness you deserve.

When sleep comes, I will guard it like a jealous child...
if the wind howls and the night thunders, I will cover your ears
so you dream undisturbed.

The A.E. Of Life.

Almost everywhere (A.E.)
Is where I am
Or where I am not.

The probability of nothing is
Possibly what and who I am.
Or what I have always been.

My delusion is the mistake of time.
My life is mist in the shadow of the night.

I weave my way through the labyrinth of space
Looking into the vast abyss.
In search of my own place.
In the meaning of life.

But can I truly face
What I finally see?
Will it enslave me?
Will it set me free?
