Soren Valentine

Disregard Me, Please

I lay upon the ground
on my knees and destitute,
pleading with my eyes
before your throne.
'Tis a clash of wills,
as I stare into your cold jaded eyes.

You always look so bored,
so uninterested lately,
and despite how it my seem,
I kind of don't care.
I knew the woods were my only friend.

There's something about the silence,
the silence behind the noise,
that puts my mind at ease.
I guess I know the trees won't judge me.
No, they'll be the ones to take me.

Don't be sad,

Unheeded

Will he remain unheeded,
as the hollow one cries?
Death into his fate has been seeded,
and like an amaranth never dies.

Fill the skin bottle with your tears,
for surely you will need them through the years,
save them for another occasion,
and with them seal a future abrasion.

How his life is fraught with lies,
and the years treat him like waste;
As swift as the osprey flies,
Hades' garden spreads with haste.

Always feeling distraught,
a flower killed by weeds,
he searches for a draught,
on sugar-coated poison he feeds.

Deceitful Dreams

By sorrowful waters I have long dwelt.
By the rushing of winds is where I have made my abiding place.
Turbulent ground, where ones bones turn to dust, is where I walk.
I know naught of the path I am taking, and ere I reach the end, I feel my doom is nigh.
The Ocean of Storms has caught up.
I thought I could put it off, yet it is fast approaching.
Oft have I wandered, in days long sped, the paths of darkness.
Why do I choose to walk with the Blind Ones? Did I not hearken to the wailing of the Beloved Ones?

The Night is chilling...

The Stars have grown pale...

I have been fooled by the delusional idea of waxing control, when in reality my strength wanes.
I yearn for the Days, the Days ere the frost fell upon me.
Ere the happy condition of the heart fled on forsaken wings.

The Tree In The Field

Perhaps it was a dream,
that ripped Reality's seam,
on that day I saw the tree,
alone in a green sea.

Years washed over it,
the world its roots bit,
yet still that tree lives,
till to it my life I give.

We would watch my old friend,
under a black sky with no end,
where the stars would smile bright,
and life didn't seem so trite.

But everyone dies I guess,
and I am something less
than the sylvan Keeper
of memories of a world gone deeper.

No More and Forever

My heart wishes to beat no more.
My lungs refuse to take in air anymore.
My kidneys, why should they keep on serving me?
Let them find a new master!

What is the point of living when my life is fraught with shame?

I have wrought the hollowness in me; I have become the son of death.
O! Hypaethral Temple of mine, how I wish you were domed.
At least then the Tears of the Stars would not fall on my face.

I am beset with sadness though my world is full of Light.
The River of Tears flows through my heart, where the scarred battleground shall be used once again.
There are no Trees, though, for the River is dead.

How I miss the sweet rains of moonlight, so refreshing to my soul.
But now, Golden Narcissus drenches me with Unlight.
Who can rescue me from this body undergoing such death?

I have found my answer.

Persecution Complex

Rain is pouring.
Death scoring.
I'm in a car,
and sadness isn't far,
and hatred is in the air,
as They throw me to despair.

Humans may love,
and think themselves doves,
when in reality they are cravens
waiting to be shaven
from their grief.

Swimming in an ocean of madness,
craving all kindness,
whilst people turn their backs and flee
and I learn hatred is everlasting for me.

They seek to get rid of me,
to bind me in darkness and ignore my plea,

On The Syren-Shore

These clouds ominous,
hath in my eyes become lustrous,
as the lightning flashes
and the earth it dashes
to pieces.

The thunder shalt boom
and be the harbinger of doom
as the Syren-Shore sings
and its music becomes terrifying.

Hearken to the music of the waves,
who long did save,
my heart from Sorrow's Grave.

To the Gates of Nocturne I go,
as my soul shall howling flow,
to the hypnagogic world of dreams,
where the nightingales stream,
and the moonlight falls,

Nebulous

I know I don't love you, yet I miss you so.
Perhaps 'tis obsession that's benighted me.
My heart doth ake and grieve,
my mind spirals into the birthplace of sorrow.

Why do I feel this way?
There is no love for you that I feel,
except in friendship.
I am sure of it.

There is a missing of you, burning like an ardent storm of fire.
My heart is lit up with lightning as your voice falls upon my ear.

When you laugh, my heart pounds with joy.
How sweet it's music is.

I cannot detach myself from this feeling.
It is no attraction.
No love.
Yet I yearn to be near you.

Inverted Reflections

A single autumn leaf blows, leading me like a beatific fool upon the path of the Forgotten Ones.
I mutter prayers for eternal slumber as I mindlessly wander about the decaying road, led by this pale light.
I reach the Gate of Emptiness and Desertion, and as I pass through, a Forest of Fluorescent White Trees assaults me with painful memories of my thralldom unto the crestfallen spirit that has oft been led to misery.

I have been filled with nothingness; The Man That Never Was.

Staring at the darkness above fills me with agonizing insanity. I've reached an impasse; between my mind and heart. I've lost all the serenity I have ever come to know, and as I draw nigh to the Mountains of Dusk, I seek aught that can release me from these dark chairs.
I find naught but ruined stones, hallowed by ancient fools.
I wish to be released from my nocturnal bonds ere I come to the Gate of Silver Flames.

To The Flower Upon The Hill

O lonely flower, do not despair.
Though Sun has beat down on you,
all will be okay.
Send forth your roots, please,
and search for a drink,
because the Cloud shall see your efforts
and open the Celestial Ocean.

Worry not, little one, for soon you shall grow.
All of your woes will fade away.
O arrogant one, humble yourself!
Do not let the Inane Weed dry you in his drought.
Face toward the Shade of the Tree and seek refuge
from the sands around you.
Let not the Spider spin his webs on you.
Let the Starlight flood you forever.
Don't give in to the Aphids of treason.

Remember the Eyes that love you.
Forget not the Butterflies refreshed by you.
