How Can These Be
I saw the donkeys made paces
And saw some seals that made a trip
Woodpeckers were in a descent
An ascension the larks did make
In a movement were the moles
and twenty woodcocks made a fall
They did not move a wing or foot,
and in their places just stayed put
The rooks are birds so wonderful,
they make buildings without a tool
When the platipi make a pile,
on top each other do not climb
When the leopards made a leap,
an inch they did not lift their feet
If a group of fish a shoal we call,
sometimes there's no fish in a shoal
I saw the curs in cowardice,
they were not meek and they were fierce

Ang locket ni Inay, ginto't kumikinang
Ay aking kinuha sa kanyang lagayan
Ito'y nilagyan ko ng litrato ni 'sweet'
At sa aking leeg, agad isinabit
Ang aking kwintas ay nakita ni mahal
At ang kanyang tanong, 'Saan ba galing 'yan? ?
Yan ba'y binili mo o merong nagbigay? '

Trash and Treasure
So different we are in so many a way
That, every body knows I do not have to say
In case you do not know, here I will cite a few
See how luckless we are and fortunate are you
At times you do not eat, just for the lack of mood
Desirability of food in the table
Decides if you will eat or the meal just ignore
Often we do not eat, because of lack of food
Availability of food in the table
Determines if ever we eat or not at all
Sometimes your kind of food strays to our larder
Not via the grocer, a courier or waiter
But via garbage dump we rake painstakingly
For food and anything of value there might be
And when you go shopping In a department store
You choose the clothes you wear by the size or color
By the brand or trade mark, It must be signature

May isang binata na umakyat sa bus,
ang kanyang paninda ay iniaalok.
'Mani! Mani! Ay, mani kayo diyan! '
Kanyang sinasabi sa bawat lapitan.
Isang dalaga ang muna'y kinindatan,
masuyong inalok, 'Ate, bili naman.'

Wikang Filipino'y talagang mayaman
Daming talinhaga, daming kahulugan
Anumang opisyo, anumang larangan
Practitioners ay nagkakaintindihan
Sa field ng medicine at ng mga doktor
Pag may sumusuka, the ailment they shall cure
Ngunit naiiba d'on sa mga pintor
Ang 'sumusuka' na, pa ay 'nilalason'
Halimbawa naman ay sa karpintero
Merong 'hinahabol' di naman natakbo
Madalas din silang may 'hinuhulugan'
Ngunit wala namang pinagbabayaran

What's in a Group Name
Why are fish uneducated
When they frequently go to school
If shoal we call a group of fish,
Sometimes there's no fish in a shoal
Starfish, silverfish, cuttlefish
Under what grouping shall they fall
A group of apes shrewdness we call
But they're not shrewd, no, not at all
How to measusre a leopards' leap
Is it by dozen or by feet?
There's one thing common in between
The tiny legumes and the whales
The little legumes can make a pod
The leviathans also can
A group of bears can make a sloth
But many sloths can't make a bear

N'ong aming panahon,19kopong-kopong
Wala pang computer, wala pa ring cellphone
Noon baduy kami kumpara sa ngayon
At napag-iwanan ng sibilisasyon

Ang Itlog ng Manok
Sa siwang ng sahig, si Totoy nakasilip
Sipong tumutulo, kulapol sa sahig
Umupo, dumapa, tumuwad, tumindig
Merong hinihintay, parang naiinip
Sa kanilang silong, may bigkis ng damo
Pakain ng Tatay niya sa kabayo
Sa gitna ng damo ay mayroong itlog
na butas ang dulo at guwang ang loob

The Falcon and the Ostrich
Hi! Good morning. I am Falco Peregrinus
As fastest flying bird, the record now I hold
In horizontal flight my speed is ninety
And in a stoop I clock two hundred seventy
