Coming Of Light From The Night

Evening sun brings horizon a radiant hue,
While mind and soul ponders what to do,
Sitting quietly she meditates at water edge,
Perched above shoreline on smooth ledge,
Full moon of the warm summer’s night,
Gave the water’s face a shimmering light,
Bringing on a calm and wonderful peace,
Troublings of mind did soon find release,
Majestic beauty of a starlit unclouded skies,
Would let soul’s depth release gentle sighs,
Deep thoughts towards making a better life,
Within a world all filled with hate and strife,
One gentle angelic entity in life full of pain,
Stuck between birth and grave on this plane,
Salty night air has refreshed body and soul,
New insight made the will strong and bold,
Sun of new day rising over ebbing beach,
Dreams seem to fade just out of her reach,
A strong will of mind can bring them to be,
Knowing best was done sets one’s soul free.

In An Ivory Palace

Besieged was my love life totally unwilled.
An Ivory Palace you have helped me build.
With walls so high and locks on the gates,
Watchmen all along the paths doth irritate.
Fascinated visitors come at the gate and go,
For not even the grounds I desire to show.
My will to find joy in love now all broken,
Spirit shattered leaving not any love token.
Pleasing memoirs of love past doth retake.
Mind's eye doth pretty wall images make.
Helping the soul within find solace there.
It would be nice to find true love to share.
I would that it could be within my power,
To fill the terrain all with beautiful flower.
To walk among them; their beauty to feel,
Through passing time; my soul might heal.
To the Creator I rise as with Him I meditate,
Hoping to find the path with another to relate.
Wisdom and knowledge gained during prayer,
To receive the gift of love first we must share!

New Birth Daily

I awoke early with the cocks first crow;
Soon light within darkness was to show;
Must get to my feet and rush to my place;
To pray for the sun to come show its face;
As hurriedly to my meditation place to find;
Stars in clear sky loose their twinkling shine;
Smell the airy fragrance of cedar and spruce;
Quietness broken by the honking of a goose;
Turkeys flutter from night roost to ground;
Mr. Tom calling hens at food he had found;
Comes the rustling of leaves at a rising doe;
Her two fawns tail as off they hurriedly go;
Hearing the whip-o-will calling at his best;
For his mate to join him for their days rest;
Thanking Creator for another beautiful day;
Receiving warming from the suns first ray;
Realizing all His beauty I had just beheld;
He allowed me among it to amiably dwell;
Thanking Creator for this life on His earth;
Each day gives me a rejuvenation of birth.

One Giant Step For Mankind

For mankind what was that one giant step?
Hopefully we’ll find records accurately kept.
Let us carefully check the pages of history.
The famous walk on the moon, could it be?
The laying down one’s life for you and me,
Now that’s the one giant step I find it to be.
On a quest, leaving his Father and his home,
Venturing to a different location on his own,
Having all one could desire, then to depart,
Most would say, well that’s not too smart.
From heavenly home to earth He did step,
At home to himself, He could have kept,
To all the loving ways of the Ancient teach,
The plateau of nirvana he wills us to reach.
No left; No right; straight and narrow walk,
Ever only truth speak, never any vain talk.
The evil forces of satan He did enslave,
Victorious over death, hell and the grave,
The only giant step settled in this mind,
The one my Savior made is the one I find!

Lucy In Disguise

For me your enigmatic persona was so new,
I plunged head over hills in wonder of you,
You became my life's principal; very dear.
It was great to have you close and so near,
Starting a relationship together we had fun,
Drifting apart in stages losing it would run,
Drafted into the military; overseas to fight;
What a nightmare it became; such a fright.
Soon you were Ricky's Lucy; something new,
I was away and you had some ‘splaining to do.
Letters from my relatives and your friends,
While on the battle front came pouring in.
Stating that our love road had some bends;
Having some bumps leading to a dead end.
Seems you were Lucy and I Charlie Brown,
She pulled the football out and he fell down,
Consolation; not only one to get a Dear John.
Many lost a love while across the big pond,
To those who did not go and fight when due.
With out honor to "The Red White and Blue".

In Your Eyes A Friend Shines

The first time I saw you I felt your sadness;
I could see your world filled with madness;
Like a ship tossed to and fro wrecked at sea;
Powerless to chart a way to harbor's safety;
All their heartlessness was served a'la cart;
I wasn't there as they tore your world apart;
I'm told eyes are the windows of the soul;
The blues radiate from deep within untold;
The staunchness of your face tells the story;
Distress fills the void where once was glory;
I could not have postponed the hopeless day;
Nor change melancholy into something gay;
No one alone controls a tide's ebb and flow;
Is powerless as to where the wind doth blow;
Two touching in agreement; unlimited gain;
Prayer changes things; Glee instead of pain;
But as a true friend at your side take a stand;
To the Creator for help I'd lift up your hand;
With carnal eye we cannot see; He is there;
Wanting us to seek Him; In His glory share!

Life's Search For Love

From cradle to grave we are on one quest,
Until the search is over we'll have no rest,
You find pictures of couples in an embrace,
I ask, What is the reason, What's the case?
We may see frequent hugging and kissing,
Within this affection something is missing,
In an effort to solve this enigmatic mystery,
I considered matter pertinent to it in history,
Diligently I searched, Everywhere I did look,
Under the subject of love found a good book,
With a teaching about love; ancient not new.
Do unto others as you would them do to you;
The Creator gifted the world His true Love;
For all sin to die; sent from Heaven above;
A life lived wholly pure and without any sin.
Caring for strangers like they were truly kin;
Someone laying down his life; for another die,
Could this be love? Truth or just another lie?
Shouldn't we do something his life to replace;
Following his love; Living our life in his place.

Part 3-Inerasable Heart

Thankfully not in a box as many had flown.
At last my war time done, I returned home.
One mans beating for the prosperity of czars.
Not just bodily harm, but with mental scars.
Professionals have erased what they could.
But flash backs make a man misunderstood.
I pillow my head, but I am unable to sleep.
As scenes of fire fight before my eyes creep.
A child with a grenade, a suicide bomb, a gun.
What can I do, there’s no place or to time run.
As in life no choice for me my fate was sealed.
War is evil, in battle, you kill or will be killed.
I was told being a hero was my patriotic duty.
From terrorist attack I would protect my cutie.
Loving my life I was drafted without a choice.
Not wanting to go, yet no one heard my voice.
Where is the one who lovingly waited for me?
Too much time for her, started over possibly.
No trace of her physically could I ever find.
Inerasably in my heart, eternally on my mind.

The Keep On Giving Gift

Some may say what counts is the thought,
It’s not the price that’s paid when bought,
It’s not the quantity placed within the cart,
Just how much love comes from the heart,
Don’t let your view engulf, fret and stew,
Just be glad that the love in the gift is true,
It’s a way better feeling to give than receive,
By today’s masses a maxim hard to believe,
Most look at you thinking that’s truly insane,
For their life is founded on getting and gain,
They need a cover dusting of the good book,
Vigilantly probing pages taking a good look,
Finding the Ancients system of joyful giving,
This concept of giving eternally keeps living,
Twenty centuries ago GOD’s gift was great,
History cannot show an equivalent up to date,
As through life we stumble, continue and go,
We must repay to Him the huge debt we owe,
We cannot walk in hate; on love take a stand,
We must found our feet on GOD’s solid plan.

To Give Or To Get

Two choices were given at mans beginning;
One immensely good; the other life ending.
GOD's way was giving all from a heart of love;
Lucifer became an enemy wanting to get above.
Two tree choices in the beautiful garden Eden;
Wrong selection made due to subtle pleading.
Rebellious longing to acquire things on his own;
Eyes opened to things by man not to be known.
The tree of life for the taking given to us at will;
Knowledge of good and evil came with a bill.
Man in disarray the death debt could not pay.
Defiant man could no longer in the garden stay.
Within the garden they lived in a peaceful life;
Cast out they found a world of labor and strife.
Through human's history the choices remain;
Become holy; do good and from evil abstain.
GOD's gift to man will alleviate and relieve;
Through love the gift of life we may receive.
Now to give or to get; which is right for all?
No question for me; GOD has made the call!
