Eventide

I stop,
by the lake side,
on a road wide,
at eventide

On floating weeds,
few pelican`s still,
as darkness creeps,
on the hill

The bell chimes
from a church not old,
breaking the silence
through waves of gold....

A tiny bird
flies along,
tweeting merrily,
in my song!

Valley of Love

The bud opens its soft petals
to greet the humming bee
and then they whisper
behind the rosewood tree
The bee romps away rosily
in the valley in glee
Thier love blossoms
behind the rosewood tree...
In the valley of love in every weather
The bud and the bee dance together.......!

In the Park

In the park
an old man and an old woman
sit away from each other

In the park
the old man and the old woman
look at each other

In the park
that old man and that old woman
sit together

In the park
they sing together

In the park
they hold hands
and walk back home together.........!

New Begining

Let me close my eyes,
till I gather a few sun rays,
to keep it safe, for my dark days
to brighten my life and end the pain,
of my mistakes.
Let me close my eyes,
till the rose buds blossom
on a beautiful day,
to start all over again, unbound
into the fragrance and freshness
on thy green earth.

The Good Soul

Peacefully wandering,
is your good soul,
over the mountains, oceans
and the earth whole
through the villages,
balmy woods and fields,
in the morning breeze,
over the green leaves
moving with the clouds
from place to place,
leaping with the waves
at the shore as they race
sometimes, you sit still,
quietly on a dew,
or on my cheek, you trickle,
in the raindrops few.

The Dark Night

There is darkness everywhere,
the night is darker than black,
strange shadows loom on the wall,
as light flickers and flutters
on the oil lamp

The merciless wind is blowing hard,
harder than ever it was,
sharp like a sword,
piercing and reaming my raw wounds,
the flame on the lamp flutters violently
and then is blown off.
The wind smiles and then suddenly it is gone.

I light my lamp again.

Trapped

Trapped in the fog
cant find my way
I scream, I cry in vain
fog thickens like cloud
about to rain,
nothing can pass through
not a sound or ray
none is around or can hear
I close my eyes, and pray
only god is my hope
I crouch and sit on a rock
in the cold hard wind i knock
this is my test of life
I must not give up but strive
and I must keep my faith
he is not far away
perhaps with somebody
more needy than me
and will surely pull me out
I know he is on his way

A Golden Day........Passed Away

Sundrops flow
from head to toe
adorned in gold
my eyes behold

I wait
with all the hope
sundrops whisper
in my robe

just one little thing
remember to bring
red roses with stem
and a lovely ring

darkness creeps
in my door
my feet weary
on the floor

Beside You

In the wilderness
walking alone
on your trail
imbibing the fragrance
of wayside spring flowers
gathering the bygones with care
the bouganvillas droop on the gate
with red roses clenched
tears gush and fall on the petals in my hand
Nothing is over yet
you are as alive as yesterday
your scent mingles in the nearby woods
and lingers around me
I lay the soaked roses on your grave
My body quivers as I kneel
and hold on to the dainty grass blades
the sun dazzles my moist eyes
here I dropp my false sword of courage
and weep like a child unhibited
clinging to the stone cross over you.

The Sparrow

A sparrow
from somewhere
flew in my window
soaked and bewildered
from the storm and rain
I didnt have the heart
to drive her away
could`nt shut the window
because it was in the way
I let her be there
but could`nt keep the wind away
a thought in my mind
sent shivers down my spine
is her nest blown away?
or is there water in her nest?
where her babies rest
she looked in my eyes
and then out again
It came a little closer
and it made me feel better
