Tandem Hearts

There is a heart that is both yours and mine,
Its beat is always in sync and in time,
It silently knows what is best,
As it thumps loudly in your chest,
It never grows or quietens with age,
Yet it always rattles your ribcage,
It beats once, then twice, then thrice,
Entrapped within your bodily vice,
But in vigour, spirit and glee,
It is always in time with me.
So our hearts are in tandem,
The beats never sporadic or random,
For you have a special magic touch,
So this is a thank you very much,
From all the hearts you have clutched,
Their hearts forever etched and touched,
By the love and friendship you do imbue,
So this is for the one and only… you!

Neon Yellow

In this cyber city called Tokyo,
A hazy smog is suddenly aglow,
Superheated chemically reactive gas,
Flickers behind a sheath of glass,
Forming a fulgent floating plasma,
Its residue a yellow-green miasma,
Refracting rivulets of fluidic light,
Upon the breath condensing night.
Sleek tendrils snake out and attack,
The solid sheet of folded black,
Illuminating the recesses of the slums,
Whilst crooning its soft resounding hums,
Yet beneath this bright bestirred beacon,
A Fluctuating fluorescent siskin sun,
A man with sore, shuffled and scraped knees,
Ends his journey with a jingle of keys,
Izanami is thanked by that man stood alone,
For guiding him safely home.

Her Body In My Soul

Night time scattered star trails,
Lead me to red lacquered nails,
Embedded in my spirit and blood,
I just knew you understood,
My body, my head, my heart, my all to you,
I am forever bolstered by soulful sinew,
Heaven’s glitter rained and pearls fell,
Lapping at my toes with sand and seashell,
I put it to my ear and heard you calling,
Looked up and realised it was you falling,
All around me you could be found,
You showed me love does always surround,
Picking you up, I place you in my top pocket,
Close to the rhythm of my heart, so you rock it!
Pushing the rushing beat within my soul,
The love inside it does cajole,
Heating the repeating tingle within my body,
That has always enlivened me.

Hunted Chives

Hunted Chives

Hidden deep in the house in which I reside,
Bagels bombs with cream cheese glaze I hide,
Tucked away in the recesses of my abode,
To gibber incessantly with gunpowder peppercorn goad,
Echoing footsteps approach, each clunk resonating fear,
Pulling back into umbrage with Philadelphia smear,
With ticking time-bomb a ripe and ready red tomato,
Swaying in my hand as if upholding a melancholic legato,
Until I am found, just when time is announced as up,
My hand squeezing as the taceted tick-tock, blows up,
The tomato’s flesh and pips are strewn and spread,
Along with Philadelphia cream across my grinning head,
Twixt with a complimentary chardonnay wine tipple,
Embracing my seeker with a volcanic red ripple.

Do You Remember Me?

When you can’t sleep at night,
and you’re all alone in the twilight,
turn those nightmares in to dreams,
by building up your self-esteem,
just dig deep in to your memory,
and remember someone like me.

Do you remember happier days,
full of fun filled holidays,
where you could do,
whatever you wanted to,
as love came so easily,
to people like you and me.

In dark and doubtful times,
we all need pleasant signs,
to stem the flow of tears,
so look back through the years,
pull out those special memories,
for they’re guaranteed to please.

Dreamy Daze

In a deep purple haze,
coated in ultraviolet rays,
I am captured and caught,
deep in convalescent thought,
dreaming during the day,
full of tales of the fey,
leading to your heart’s desire,
and to what you aspire.
Whether it is some heavenly fantasy,
or reliving some part of history,
here you are in your own world,
with treasure gemmed and pearled,
as a sea-faring, swashbuckling pirate,
leading and tempting your own fate,
as whatever you want to be,
a special haven for you and me.
All people are welcome here,
as all new horizons are clear,
although reddened by sunset,
the long and unsettled debt,

Natural Lover

There is a woman out there,
who gives out her love to share,
the pale blue sky is her iris,
and the sunshine her warm kiss.
Her breath stirs the oceans,
the tide carrying her heart’s emotions,
all the clouds rain her joyful tears,
growing her children over the years.
At night she sleeps a peaceful slumber,
so we can all dream and wonder,
while the sky is lit up with her stars,
who are her guardians and avatars.
Then when she opens her eyes,
so you can all see the sunrise,
her sun’s warm and welcoming glow,
is just her way of saying hello.
Awakening you all from your sleep,
in your heart, those dreams, you keep,
for every summer morning you will see,
that she is smiling down on you and on me!

Dead Souls

The first rays of sunshine,
Spread a warm welcome glow,
Sugary amber light so delicately fine,
Sifting through my window,
Casting The Darkness from my mind,
With the hue of a refracted rainbow,
Dreams interrupted by spectrum squeeze,
Of Dawn's sensational forenoon show.
I awake floating on a summer breeze,
Riding a rippling wave of velvet heat,
Wind aroused by pietistic sneeze,
Apple blossoms whispered and coaxed from retreat,
As trees are shifted and uplifted by divine wheeze.
Rousing once dead souls,
From lucid lanquidity,
Birthing us like spring foals,
Slumber stirred beside me,
Awakened amongst the scented flowers,
With renewed esprit and energy,
Refreshed for the daylight hours,

Silence Listens

Voices like violence,
Attack this silence,
Should be no push or shove,
For this silence is love,
No utterance to be spoken,
This silence never to be broken.

The Sun, through windows, does seep,
I feel your rising breath, so deep,
All noise does fade and retreat,
Except the sound of your heartbeat,
Which to me, is a mellow melody,
Constantly humming in harmony,
Embracing me in love’s emanation,
Giving a warm spine tingling elation,
I’m entranced by love supreme,
Mesmerised by what I’ve seen.

Words become so very
Sharp and unnecessary,

Snow Man

You’re looking out of the window,
you’re watching the settling snow.
Soft the snow falls like angels’ feathers,
bringing your children and joy together.

For they’re building a snowman,
from whatever snow that they can.
They give me a nose, eyes, hat and pipe,
so tell me now, what do I look like?

You say I am always still and cold,
stood here for all of you to behold,
but that was the way that I was made.
This is what I am, happy in the shade.

Then there was a break in the clouds,
and the great Sun shines out loud,
hurting me, until I do cry,
until I melt, wilt and die.
