In My Coffee Cup

Drink your coffee, drink your tea, Either one is fine with me
I can read the future, spend some time with me
I can read the future, for a fee
Come see the future with me

The gypsy smiles, she knows the future, yet she lives in poverty
She came to me for advice to treasure, Help to gain prosperity

I've made fortunes, doing cartwheels, bent over backwards, to keep animoty
I'm a contrarian, do not follow, an enigma of my family tree

Drink your coffee, drink your tea, Either one is fine with me
I can read the future, spend some time with me
I can read the future, for a fee
Come see the future with me

Leaders of the free world, need new answers, I've met them all behind closed doors
I judge them not, nor awaken their slumber
Yours is the choice of true democratic law

Wish List (votes for sale)

It’s election time again
Picture postcards in the mail
Election time again
On every campaign trail
Election time, election time, election time

It’s election time,
A photo opportunity everywhere
Yes election time,
Cleaner streets and cleaner air,
Election time, election time, election time

In every seat across the nation
Never seen so much enthusiasm
So many nice people wanting to shake my hand
Tell me they’ll do all they can
To fill my wish list

It’s election time,
And they’re all promising to do more

Heaven's Behind My Woman's Door

Woman come and set your man free
Woman come and set your man free
Take me by the hand
And lead me to your promised land
Woman come and set your man free

Woman only you have the key
To release these chains that bind so tight on me
Won’t you come and smile
Turn the key, release me awhile
Yeah, woman come set your man free

Take me to heaven
Give me just enough
There can be no denying me
The gift of your love

Woman come and set your man free
Woman come and set your man free
Take me by the hand

I Don't Play For Money

I don't play for money, just not enough
I don't play for money, but I do for love

Show some emotion, take a chance with me
A pair and a bluff, ain't such bad company

Fortune favors the brave
So stack my deck full of hearts
I don't play for money, but I do for love
I don't play for money, but I do for love

Too many aces, up so many sleeves
Eight chips and a chair, that's all I need

Counting the numbers, then let luck play its part
I don't play for money, but I do for love

I don't play for money, but I do for love
I don't play for money, but I do for love

I Can't Walk Alone

She's sugar and spice, and everything nice
'It's an act, don't take her back'... but I love her
She's sugar and spice, and everything nice
'A selfish brat, don't take her back'... but I love her

Conflicting thoughts, bounce back and forth
In my minds, Centre court
Tearing me apart, play at my heart
Cause I love her

And I can't walk alone, I can't, I can't walk alone
She follows me like the moon
I can't walk alone, I can't, I can't walk alone
She follows me like the moon

She's a star, freshly fallen from the sky
'Doomsday', you say, 'don't take her back'... but I love her
She's a star, freshly fallen from the sky
'Treat her like radiation, don't take her back'... but I love her

The Life Of Mary O’Henry & Simon Le Frankie

Is life chance, or pre-ordained
Is life chance, or pre-ordained

Mary O’Henry,
Was born in a time when the world was at war
Nobody saw
Grew up an orphan
Struggling through life never knowing there’s more
Than being wretchedly poor

Oh life can hold so much pain
You wonder why it should be so
There but for the grace of God, walks another
In sullen steps that could have been you

Is life chance, or pre-ordained
(The life of Mary O’Henry & Simon Le Frankie)
Is life chance, or pre-ordained
(The life of Mary O’Henry & Simon Le Frankie)

The Whisper 2

I heard a whisper, carried on the wind
A faint but growing whisper, a hope for better things

Gentle ripples on the sea, grow to waves that burst upon the shore
One voice shared by many, will one day come knocking on your door
And could change the world

I saw a woman in Africa, weeping as she spoke
A voice heard by millions, now united with her hope
I heard a man from Europe, singing of his dream
To a growing mass of people, like stars reflected on the sea
I saw a man in Asia, standing firm against the wrong
Decades later, I heard they changed the law, immortalized him in song
I knew a woman in America, educated and wise
From poor beginnings she rose, to cut through all the unjust lies

If you plant a small seed, and you help it grow
You can change more than you know
You can change the world, imagine, you could change the world

Good Luck (but maybe I'm close enough)

What’s that you said, what you said, what you said
What’s that you said, what you said, what you said

You say your looking for your knight in shinning amour
Someone who'll rescue you when you fall
Someone, whose chivalry knows no boundary
Someone who'll answer when you call
Good luck. But maybe I’m close enough

Through the wind and the rain
Through the drought and Champaign
My love for you shines through
Like the sun, like the sun, like the sun
Bad boy, bad boy, sometimes I'm a bad boy, bad boy, bad boy, sometimes I'm a bad boy

What’s that you said, what you said, what you said
What’s that you said, what you said, what you said

You say you’re looking for your charming prince of passion
He who’ll recite sweet verse in your ear

That Little Hole

Some people keep their love in a safe, then forget the combination
Some people think life's a masquerade ball, keeping up with the latest fashion
Some people sell dreams like rag magazines, on the busy fast food city street corners
Some people give, some people take, Some people share, some people fake
And they all believe their mouths to be religion, I ask you who puts their faith in that little hole

Me, I’m happy to be breathing
with both feet on the ground

Some people hide from the world and it’s charms, others flee from its tragedy
Some people wish for a place to call home while they kill off every living thing they see
Some people await the rapture and fate, others are simply looking for the cure
Some people lead some people follow, some people spit, some people swallow
And they all believe their mouths to be religion, I ask you who puts their faith in that little hole

Me, I’m happy to be breathing

Some people search for Utopia and peace, but never seem to laugh
Some people forgot what it’s like to be young, having grown up much to fast
Some people preach salvation and hope to anyone willing to pay
